  1. Mine is a photo I took of some wildflowers along either Rt 12 or 89 outside Bryce Canyon in Utah.
  2. That would be a hoot! Maybe we could put on some Wilco and they could dance around and burn off some boundless energy together! I asked mine (Jaina) the other day if I could take some of her's and bottle it up and she said "nah, it can't come out of me!" Russo . . . my husband is reading that currently, and if he doesn't hurry up I'm going to snatch it up next!
  3. Thanks for posting that! The song really showcases one of the (many) things I love about his voice, which is his unique phrasing and his "accent" which I suppose is mid-western-esque (I've always loved how he says "somethin'" and "nothin'"). Can't wait to hear the whole thing.
  4. Can my 7 year old join them? She's in training for knowing everything as a teen. Then there is my 4 year old, the "high spirited" one, I think I may be joining your reading group if I may, poppydawn/reni/donna! Pretty cool, Kevin! 25 pages to go? You can do it! For me: and
  5. Is that for a total of 90 points? Or is it 30 for the whole a,b and c grouping? And cheers to you for appreciating my Abbey and Vonnegut references!
  6. I signed on this site as w1lc0g1rl, thinking it was going to be my super secret uncrackable letter and number password. I entered that while thinking what I wanted my screen name to be, and ... whoops, there I was! I later changed it to wilcogirl because looking at it hurt my brain. I briefly changed it to paria to keep in theme with my desert soutwest motif I have going on here (Paria Canyon) as I love Utah and its canyons, but I changed back. I am tuliptree on another forum, and I have thought about changing it to that, but after three years . . . I guess I am sticking to wilcogirl. After al
  7. Well how about that, guess we're not the only ones that happened to. Wonder if they were on the same flight (Southwest? 10:00am something arrival originally). I was sad my sister didn't make it, my husband took her ticket (he was happy about that). Funny thing is, I had thought about bringing my 4 1/2 year old daughter, who is my Wilco buddy. I'm really close to bringing her to her first show, she's going to be in awe. Glad to hear your son had such a great time! To Wilco: THANK YOU THANK YOU for coming back to Cleveland, please come back again soon. Hi mumzie!! Everyone, meet my mo
  8. Can you get me one while you are at it? Hi Kevin!
  9. M, I'm so sorry you had such a crappy experience with people yelling things at you. Adrienne and I were so frustrated about not being able to dance that we offered to trade seats with a woman behind us (she wasn't yelling things at us but had her arms folded and just glared at us if we got up to dance) but she just said "NO! I don't want to!" So we attempted to go to the back of our section to dance without blocking anyone's view, but a security guard came over and yelled at us and then pointed to the door as if our choice was to go sit down or leave. Argh! Luckily, we were sitting behind fou
  10. Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great time last night at the show, it was fun! So glad we got to meet up!! Hope you have fun whatever you are doing today . . . and have fun in DC! xoxo!
  11. Too tired to post much, but it was amazing, the sound was fantastic!! Have to say thanks to the band, they played my request Nothingsevergonnastandinmyway(again)!! Only complaint is dancing was frowned upon up in the lodge area, but we banded together with the people in front of us and danced anyway. Thank you Wilco!
  12. Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I heard about the wait at Melt, so we are going early. A friend that is going with us lives very close to Lakewood, so you are semi her neighbor!
  13. Aww, thanks. You know, as we were planning, I too was thinking, Cleveland/Philly February . . . and did not have a very optimistic feeling about weather! Next obstacle is getting from Cleveland to Philly tomorrow before the show (via car!0 Nashville sounds great right about now . . .
  14. Thanks, J. Its looking like she's not going to make tonight's show, they put her on a second plane and that was cancelled, too so she's getting a refund. Not wanting to give it all up, she's attempting to book a later flight, but its starting to push it too close to show time at this point. We may have to admit defeat. I'll still be going tonight, but its not the same without her, she's my Wilco traveling companion. Alright! Poppydawn, I didn't make the Latrobe show, but I was at the Pittsburgh show last Oct. I agree the venue was really lame, but I still had a great time.
  15. I'm sure they will be, kids tend to be pretty cool right from the start. Its just keeping them that way that's the trick!
  16. Hey dazzler, here's the link. http://www.jmango.com/ They make a mean sangria there! And their burritos are pretty darn good. We've actually opted for a place called Melt in Lakewood, not far from the venue http://www.meltbarandgrilled.com/ I've not been there before, but one of our bunch has, and she loves it. Looks like they have a pretty decent bar, too. The weather is already monkeying with our plans, I am/was supposed to pick my sister up in Pittsburgh this morning for the show, but she's flying in from Philly and her flight was cancelled!!! We're waiting to see if she can catch another
  17. I was at the grocery store today with my almost 5 year old daughter, Jaina who is totally into Wilco. We were about to head to the checkout aisle and Impossible Germany came on. I got all excited to hear it, and I looked at her face, and she was just as excited, if not more, than I. She said "shhh! Mommy listen!" and then said "Wouldn't it be so funny if Wilco was playing that song here in concert?" I asked where they would be set up, and she looked around and said "over there by the bananas." Then she launched into dialogue about what "instruments" they'd play. Bananas, pizza dough, and co
  18. Me too. I was dialed in and working but was listening and watching and tried to keep up with the discussion, but I felt like I was lost in the pages that would sprout everytime I came and went. It is still fun to be part of it and being at the virtual show with all of you. I love you people!
  19. That was fantastic! I worked, listened, TRIED to keep up with all of you (Geez 80 some pages!) It was great. Good night! Isadorah . . . talk to you tomorrow and see you Sat!!
  20. Hey!!! How are you? I'll be going to the Lakewood show and then racing to Philly in the car with the family and my sister for the Philly show! Are you going to the Charleston show? Hi Isadorah! Told you I couldn't stay away from work heh!
  21. Phew! I made it. I was having terrible technical difficulties, but I perservered. Looks like I've missed quite a bit. Drat! I ended up not working last night, now I've got to catch up tonight and tomorrow. I'm off to a good start again tonight. . .
  22. Cheers to you all!!! It was fun listening with everyone! Yes! Everyone have a great time at all the shows! Looking forward to it!
  23. I think he's challenging the rest of us!
