  1. hahaha! I was debating writing he/she but opted for . . . bad grammar! (as well as spelling grammar wrong whoops!)
  2. If an entomologist saw that sentence they would get excited to hear that, but would also think you were using bad grammer.
  3. hahaha! I keep thinking I HAVE to work. But I have decided this is one of those great moments in life where everyone is all coming together for a moment, and it just can't be missed. So . . .I guess I'll pull an all nighter later. So worth it. Edit: Alright Elixir Sue!
  4. Wow, just wow! I'm supposed to be working right now . . . can't stop reading, listening, emailing ahhhh!!
  5. Good thing ticketmaster reminded you of the show, otherwise I am SURE you would forget!
  6. Great Lakes Brewery or Johnny Mango are our choices right now for pre show cheer. GLB - I love their stilton soup, yum! Just thinking about it is making me hungry! Have fun up front!!! We'll be behind you by only a couple rows on Nel's side!
  7. Wow. I'm not on here as often as I would like lately, and I only just saw this thread just now. I am truly shocked and saddened to read of Natalie's passing. I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person, but she was one of the first people I chatted with when I joined here. Among other things, we discussed her midwifery studies, as I had delivered both my daughters with a midwife, and I was cheering her on. Wow. How terribly sad. I guess I just wanted to add my voice to the huge list of people she touched. For all of you who knew her well, I am so sorry to hear this news, I know it is a h
  8. Whoo hoo isadorah! Can't wait to see you guys and officially meet! That will be my first official VC meetup with anyone here.
  9. They are playing Cleveland for the first time since 2005...yeay for me! (and yeay for Wilco for coming back!!) bobbob, my sister was at that show, she was big and pregnant, but joined the stampede to the front!

    wtf!!!!!!!!

Same here, got shut out of Philly.
  11. Yeay! Ohio is warm in February! (crosses fingers behind back) LOL. I'm still hoping for a Cleveland show....sigh...
  12. It was sweet. In her world, there is only one Jeff, and its Jeff Tweedy. She makes her mom proud!
  13. Hey thanks! They are wildflowers I came across on the road between Zion and Bryce Canyon in Utah years ago. I like yours too...did you carve it? It looks great!
  14. Hi Isadorah! Hey I landed a design job during that conversation! I'm doing invites for a big donor gala hosted by the museum and the Inst of Music! PM coming soon, I promise (and I have another mixed cd I made for you....now I have to get to the post office!)
  15. This isn't a dream, but a funny story I wanted to share, without starting a whole new topic. Sorry to hijack! I freelance from home, and I was talking to my husband today about talking to one of the employees at the place I freelance for. His name is Jeff. My daughter (7 years old) walked in and said "You talked to him? For real? On the phone?" and I said yes. She said "Really?" again, very excited. My husband laughed and said "Doesn't your mom talk on the phone much or something?" She said "Yeah...but mommy, did you really talk to Jeff Tweedy on the phone today? What did he say to you?" Too
  16. No kidding. I like this one, too: As if? So John Stirratt is a newcomer to Wilco then?
  17. None taken. Really, I sort of float above it and am just intrigued by it! Its so funny. I went to see Jim Bianco in Cleveland a few weeks ago, and he had just come from Pittsburgh, and half of the 40 some people there booed when he mentioned Pittsburgh. In fact one guy yelled out "Cleveland hates Pittsburgh!" I could have said "Not all of us" but probably would have been thrown out! hahaha. It just amazes me, but in an amusing way. My cousin has always been a huge Steelers fan, so he's always hearing it from Browns fans around here.
  18. Why wouldn't they let him dance? Was he really dancing that bad? Jeff's response was pretty funny, did it make any difference, was your husband able to continue dancing?
  19. I thought the same thing (birthday) but I couldn't really hear either. There was a lot of stillness around us too. How? How!? Maggie, we should have been sitting together! Where were you seated? Luckily there were pockets of us dancing our butts of though, I just focused on them peripherally and pretended we were all in a bunch (a banana bunch in fact). :banana
  20. Can't our love for Wilco transcend the Cleveland/Pittsburgh thing? I'm from the Cleveland area I don't dislike Pittsburgh. Of course I am not a serious sports fan, so that could have something to do with it. Great show! Looking forward to hearing it, thanks for taping it Anodyne33!! Thanks to Jeff for taking the time to talk to all of us afterward, even though his sammich was waiting for him. He even took the time to sign two things for me (one for my usual traveling companion, my sister, who couldn't make it this time whaaa ) Does anyone know what the problem was about the dancing? W
  21. I'd never been to AJ Palumbo Center before, the size wasn't bad, but I really think it would have been a great place for a general admission area, I think it would have brought the energy level up. (They sounded amazing though, no complaints there at all! I had a fantastic time). I was one of the Clevelanders there (there was a nice couple we talked to briefly outside the venue and when I said where I was from he said "Oh you're one of THOSE people" jokingly. I was also one of the people talking to Jeff about Cleveland afterward (he was kind enough to put his sandwich on hold to talk to everyo
  22. Cleveland? Pleeeeese? Or if not Cleveland, how about Kent, Ohio? I guess that would mean KSU, but it would be nice a convenient for me anyway
