  1. yeah i dunno, that was my only doubt. but kids might get messenger jobs or something of the like, little tasks to feel like they are "part" of the initiative. who knows, i guess next week's episode will tell all (hopefully)
  2. wait...and why couldn't little ben have been on the sub with the new recruits..?
  3. Yeah same here...and what about Jin? Why wasn't he on the list? Wouldn't Ben remember him from the 70s as well? Also, they all have different names in the DI..I don't know I just confused myself when I started thinking about this too much so I stopped
  4. Hey, I'll be studying there next semester! Where abouts are you? I'll be in Auckland..plan on traveling as much as possible though. Let us know which places qualify as "must see's"! Oh, as of now this is near the top of my list of places to go: New Zealand town attempting to create first "starlight reserve"
  5. this was my thought too--that the flash wasnt just a result of the plane entering the window, but also a time jump happening simultaneously. what im curious about, however, is whether or not they are now stuck in the time period (dharma initiative era) in which they landed. wasnt the point of them all coming back to the island to stop the time jumps?? (i mean, not necessarily the reason, but a reason) so now that they're all there, do the jumps just stop? if so, they're all about to get pretty cozy with the dharma initiative....
  6. i don't know, sayid didnt look super phased by the whole ordeal. neither did the cop. felt staged to me (meaning sayid was in on it for whatever reason). i mean, if sayid really just happened to be arrested at the same time and put on the same plane, wouldnt you expect a major freak out when he sees the rest of the losties on his plane, when he was so adamant about not going back just hours earlier? i feel like he would have struggled a bit... okay, and it really annoyed me when jack sat down next to kate and started talking about how everyone ending up on the plane was a "weird coincidence"
  7. Yeah, while I'm extremely pleased to be able to experience the night's stories and highlights through these videos (I've happily watched several of them, thanks for that), I do think it is a bit much to record and post two thirds of the setlist. What's special about the Living Room Shows and these more expensive benefit shows is that it is a unique show that Jeff does not do very often, and is meant to be a "different" kind of experience for those who generously donate their money. I don't know what the rules were for bringing cameras/video cameras into the shows, but this just seems like a li
  8. Beautiful pic Charles I am about to head out of town for the weekend and have been trying to get my photos edited and uploaded before I leave...just finally got them up, but the color/editing is all bizarre looking and I don't have time to fix it Anyway, sorry for that, will have to go back and re-edit, but these will do for now. Here are a few: jeff's shoes were way awesome new guitar Erin played violin on Hummingbird and Jesus Etc. The rest of the photos are here!
  9. the line that gave it away for me was when he said "is there something wrong?" he was totally trying to provoke dave. he was trying to get a rise out of him in response to his mumbling and beard comments. i dunno, looks pretty staged to me
  10. are there extras of these around somewhere? i had one but it's disappeared!! thank you thank you thank you to everyone...wendy and edie for all your hard work to put this shindig together, warner for renting all the equipment and spending hours of prep time the day before/day of to make sure we had the best experience possible, everyone who attended and donated their money toward such a wonderful cause, and of course jeff and sue for their kindness and generosity and for giving so much of their time to make this possible! ugh, i am in the middle of cramming for a midterm right now (didnt
  11. wow. how did that not even cross my mind? that makes a whole lot of sense. stupid time travel craziness
  12. Err right, minor lapse in memory. You get what I meant though And I was thinking mrs hawking as well..
  13. okay, so why isn't daniel getting a bloody nose then? he's been doing this time travel thing for awhile, right? and we assume he's been to the island many times before (was seen at the construction of the orchid station)..i guess the duration of his stays just dont add up to miles or charlotte? or does it have to do with having a constant? faraday did see desmond fairly recently..(who is his constant) also, if you read this carefully: http://getlostpodcast.iimmgg.com/image/c31...a1093e2eec932a7 it seems that the "subject" that sun is having followed is a SHE not a he. so even though she look

(slash sleep..) and i got my first surprise party ever!! complete with MO-jitos (get it? morgan? mo?), homemade cards, and pin the tail on the donkey (i may not be a teenager anymore but im never too old for party games). it totally made up for the fact that i have 2 midterms tomorrow.. anyway, thanks again everyone, hope you all are well, and happy birthday to walrus and chris!
  17. i just caught up last week--really good season. great finale. cant wait for it to start up again
  18. ughh its times like these that i wish i had stayed and gone to college in the midwest
  19. http://daytrotter.com/article/1461/the-punch-brothers (third song on the page) This is great. I love Chris Thile and pretty much any song he sings (his voice is just so soothing and beautiful) but it's great to hear a new take on one of my favorite Wilco songs. Reminds me of the Pickin' On Wilco album, which I still whip out every once in awhile (that version of When You Wake Up Feeling Old is a GREAT fall/autumn tune, by the way)
  20. i think i may have spotted you leaving at the end of the night...are you sporting a 'stache these days? and wearing the brown wilco jacket..? what a great night...so glad it didnt rain. one of those nights that just makes you really appreciate chicago and everything it has to offer. the screens were awesome and i really enjoyed being able to see everything that was going on from all the way back on the lawn...the video and animation stuff was really great too. he played a wonderful set and im really, REALLY digging the new stuff. cant wait for the next album! the full name of the opening
  21. i got one of glenn's sticks at the residency shows in february and i couldnt get over how incredibly generous it was--he plays a full show, is exhausted, and then he goes backstage and takes the time to sign and date his sticks and get them to some fans. how awesome is that? i hadnt heard of him doing that before so when the roadie came out brandishing it to the crowd i was just blown away. i wouldnt sell mine for a million bucks
  22. thanks guys--this helps a lot! a lot of these were on my "preliminary" list, just from things ive read on websites and whatnot--you guys have sold me on a lot of them though...the rodin museum is a definite yes, as ive heard good things from multiple people. the catacombs sound awesome as well, though im not sure my mom will be able to handle it..(im taking her with me for her summer vacation). the pere lachaise cemetery sounds amazing, i was hoping someone would confirm that as a worthwhile stop--all of these sound great. hopefully i can fit it all in!!
