I'll be in Paris from July 22-29 and am looking for your top 5 must sees..I've been to Paris before so I've done the big things (Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, etc) but it's been awhile so I'm willing to revisit anything worthwhile. Any suggestions?? I've got to fit it all in in 5 days! I'll also be spending one day in Amsterdam before flying home (no flights available out of Paris so we have to take the train to Amsterdam and fly out from there) so if you have any strong opinions on what I should see that one precious day then lemme have it!

i'll be there saturday and sunday for those who havent heard, there is a free concert tonight at pritzker pavillion in millenium park called "Music Without Borders: Pitchfork Music Festival Preview Night". Fleet Foxes, Extra Golden, A Hawk and A Hacksaw, and Boban i Marko Markovic Orkestar will be playing. well worth it especially since it's free! i'd go if i wasnt sick as a dog right now.. im saving my energy for this weekend if anyone ends up going, be sure to report back! info here

It just takes a lot of toying with--and sometimes a lot of luck as well. The lighting at a show can really make or break your photos. All the Wilco photos on the first page of my flickr were taken with a Canon PowerShot SD870 IS (not much different from yours if the numbers indicate anything..I'm not really sure). I played around with the Manual settings to start...upped the ISO, angled the camera so it focused on a spotlight, or at least included a light in the background of the photo somewhere, which then gave it a higher shutter speed and thus sharper results. i dont get the deal with locke's knife near the beginning when he's talking to alpert. is the point that everything in his life is predetermined, so he just can sense that at one point he'll own all those things? or that it has already happened and this is about the time traveling properties of the island?

so that means jack's been dead since the beginning? hmm. what about hurley, have we seen anything that leads us to believe he "died" at some point on the island? he saw jacob's cabin after charlie's death (which had christian sheppard in the rocking chair) but i dont think anything life threatening had actually happened to hurley before that...he first sees charlie after his car crash that ends his high speed chase, but this is not on the island.. i dont know, i see that theory working, but some loose ends need to be tied up i think..has locke been dead the whole time too? is he only dead af
