  1. The main page, store and photos pages work on mine. On the other links, I get Registry.com.
  2. One would think that with a new album coming out in a couple of months, that Jay and Co. would use the site as a promotional tool, but, as stated before, this is typical. Sometimes I wonder if Jay goes out of his way to avoid too much success. Maybe their new album is a sure-fire hit, but Jay decided to derail the web site just to make sure it's not TOO big a hit. Can't look like a sell-out now can we? How can you not know your domain name is about to expire? Wouldn't you get some kind of advance notice on something like that? I get magazine renewal forms 6 months before the subscriptio
  3. I heard Casino Queen on the radio (WRAX Birmingham, AL) back in 1995 or 96, I guess it was. I really liked the song, so I got AM. I liked it alright at the time but it didn't make that huge an impression on me. I had discovered another band that really hooked me...Son Volt. I spent the next several years being a Son Volt fan and, while I knew who Wilco was, I didn't pursue their records or anything. Then, at some point, I worked backwards and found Uncle Tupelo. I didn't realize that Jay Farrar had been in a band wit that guy from Wilco. I remembered that I had kind of liked Wilco in th
  4. The panhandle doesn't count as Florida. It's just southern Alabama and Georgia trying to act all cool and call itself Florida. There are only a few true Southern states and the Mason Dixon line doesn't really come into play. Kentucky is south of the Mason Dixon line, but some people from there (my brother in law) try to pretend that they are Northern when talking to Southerners. Not admitting to being Southern is a sure sign that you are not Southern.
  5. Sorry, I didn't mean to come into your house and insult your worldliness. But, did you understand the Grifter reference?
  6. Amen. Thanks to the VC community for hosting us misplaced Jay board members. I have actually grown to enjoy VC and will continue to check out this board. I have always had an appreciation for Wilco, but when Jay's board went down and I ended up here, then I saw Wilco live a couple of weeks ago it was a done deal. I am an official Wilco fanatic now.
  7. I only went to the Huntsville show and it was my first ever Wilco show, so I have to vote for it. And yes, the recording is incredible. Possibly the best audience recording I have ever heard. I have listened to it probably 6 or 7 times and still love it, although I should probably slow down with it so I don't get completely burned out on it.
  8. There are probably Via Chicago members who were curious about this thread and decided to scan through it but are now completely puzzled.
  9. This is not the first time this has happened. I think it was about a year ago that the Jay board got hacked, but it was only for a day or so. But, I have come to like this place pretty well, too.
  10. I can't believe no one has mentioned Townes Van Zandt yet. How about Marie, Tecumseh Valley or The Highway Kind.
  11. I also counted 48 in Huntsville on 10/9.
  12. KLowe, This is may be the best sounding audience recording I have ever heard. It's as good as a lot of soundboards I've heard. I'm visualizing everything in my head while listening to it and it's almost like being there again. Thank you very much for sharing it with us.
  13. Yes, thank you very much KLowe. I'm looking forward to hearing it all again. Maybe the other source will show up soon, too.
  14. Were you the taper in the center of the hall, the front row or the stage left side?
  15. Definitely a great show. It was my first time seeing Wilco and I was not disappointed. Nels Cline is something else. Some of my personal favoirites were the opening three. Poor Places started out, Muzzle of Bees rocked and Shot in the Arm was just incredible. I was also glad they played Kamera. I sat next to a 15 year old kid who was also seeing them for the first time and his eyes looked like saucers. I got a setlist from the stage and after the show I met Jeff outside and he signed it for me. I felt kind of like a teeny bopper but, oh well. How often do you get the chance to see Wil
