If a democrat were making the point that our economic collapse could result in really horrible circumstances under which we could be beholden in uncomfortable ways to foreign powers, it would get heralded on this board. Even with some nice hyperbole thrown in for dramatic effect. Palin is an idiot, but our economic status is not failsafe by any means.
