I agree with that. But in this case, the OP asked 2 important questions: 1. Are we in a new golden age of mainstream pop? 2. Am I crazy? Nothing wrong with people providing answers.

depends on what you want out of this band. Rich and Chris' songwriting has some stellar moments. But what always got me was Ford's guitar work. While his solos are all great, I especially love his little detailing work--things he'd slip in during the verses. Guy just had an amazing ear for complementing their songs.

the trend that has become widespread in Houston is they walk/weave in and out of lanes of traffic in heavily-congested intersections. scares the crap out of me. some of them basically stay in the street after the light turns green and traffic is moving.

my step son is in 8th grade. This last Tuesday his mom and I attended a presentation given by the school district on magnet high schools and options re: same. Throughout the presentation, the nice lady speaker would stop about every 30-45 seconds so that the translator could translate into Spanish what the nice lady speaker was saying.
