I know their music only a little, but have always been intrigued -- totally dig a lot of the time signatures etc. count me in, mkay?
-
It must be.
-
Though it is bad everything there -- from the president of the team on down.

At the Cell, I hate when they drive the chevy trucks or whatever out onto the field, then have those stupid people running around tossing t-shirts into the crowd. Lame. But I have to say that I tried to catch one for Jake last time I was there

I just voted for Italy. Do I win something?

I am sooo in.

I meant that McCarver et al don't (and can't possibly) know the nuances of every player on every team. It's like football when one week your team is on MNF with their announcers vs. the ones that you get on Sunday afternoon that know your team. Huuuge difference. McCarver certainly knows the game, but he doesn't really know all the players -- their histories and tendencies past a bunch of stats on the screen. When the Sox were in the WS last year, if the delay hadn't been so glaring, we'dve listened to the radio feed.
-
No, you are wrong. While Hawk and his little sayings can be ultra-annoying, he does know what is going on on the field, unlike McCarver et al. Hawk certainly lives/breathes the team, and therefore points out the little things that help to make the game interesting.

No. We have the guys we have, though I prefer Ed Farmer on the radio. And my sox are dark pink, not light pink, after this series. Sadly, I missed the entire thing.
-
Not the Wsox's best effort.
-
And it's already 2-naught, bottom of the first coming up.
-
Well, don't some players/teams have contracts with escalation clauses when players make the ASG? if so, doesn't that give some teams reason NOT to push their players for selection?
-
I think it's going to be hard for either team to sweep, and with the Wsox at home that gives them the advantage. So there. As for your second comment, the last time the White Sox had 7 guys in the ASG was in 1960, after, you guessed it, the go go sox of '59. And what about the Yankees with like 11 guys one year? I'm not saying it's 100% right, I'm just saying it happens.

Today is the first game of a three game Red Sox/White Sox series at the Cell. I am predicting the final color to be light pink, with the White Sox winning two of three.
-
As I said, droit de seignor . However, when the team wins the world series the prior year, it should be well represented.
-
Not at all -- but remember, AJ is the only one that was voted on by the fans. Guillen et al picked the other 6. Of them, Contreras and Buherle are not as deserving.
-
Granted, there is a little droit de seignor in the voting, but tell me that its right that basically the rest of the starting lineup from "fan voting" is either on the Yankees or Red Sox. The system is screwed up, clearly.

Yes, I can. In other news, Thome went yard with the bases loaded.

I couldn't make it; too much stuff going on, but sounds like it was a great time. Looking forward to the torrent.

YAY! Gonna grab it now....

WWII all over again!

Oh I know, to Cubs fans, this was like some huge victory to not get swept, since every other team in both leagues have been beating on them like a rented mule. Enjoy it....

Well to listen to the 'fraidy cats Cubs announcing team (who suck BTW), you'd think that a 6 run lead was 1. If I had known that WGN had the Sox guys, I'd have watched it. I had this series pegged at 2 of 3 for the Sox and 4 of 6 for the season -- so there
