  1. Scored 4 GA's for the second Spectrum show. Used my reasonably reliable "trick" of dialing in before the actual on-sale time, then stalling until the tickets went on sale. Doesn't always work, but it beats trying to buy through the website.
  2. Guessing this time around, the Spectrum shows could be the place to be as well, as it is soon being demolished and Bruce has always done some of his best performances down Philly way.
  3. Only a matter of time before Gene Simmons has his lawyers on the phone...sure he is licking his chops at tapping into some of Bruce's cashflow
  4. Here, here on the commentary above (I dug it right off the bat, but guess I was in the minority/hardcore group:)). Off He Goes is one of the few PJ songs, IMHO, that is not better live. Just something about the recording perfectly captured that song. Have even heard their live acoustic versions (Bridge, Benaroya) and something is always missing. One of, if not my fave PJ tune!
  5. For those in the Tri-State area (or, if you are considering coming in from further away), I have and extra pair for the 1/22 show @ Starland Ballroom in lovely Sayreville, NJ. Face + fees. PM if interested and we can work out the details. Sad to hear the new album likely doesn't surface until 2010, but I'll be patient...
  6. I have always thought the "Freedom" through "Silver and Gold" period was one of the most fertile for Neil. As a PJ fan, I am partial to "Mirror Ball" and go back to that album often ("I'm The Ocean" is one of my favorite tunes of all time), but, to me, besides the bit of redundancy with "Year of the Horse", these are all great albums.
  7. A great night...even thought Everest was good. In taking a look back at the crowd from the GA area, it seemed MSG was pretty full for Wilco, so if added exposure was the goal, it looks like they accomplished it. The dissonance is still ringing in my ears:). Not sure if he has done this for each finale, but Old Black had no strings attached and were being tapped on the pickups at the end of "A Day In The Life". I can only hope to rock as hard as Neil when I hit that age:) For anyone who is considering going, if last night is any barometer, there are plenty of seats to be found, as the se
  8. If anyone who has been to the shows at other venues can confirm these same timeframes, that would be cool. Guessing that it will be the same, but better safe than sorry. TIA
  9. In for MSG...the long wait begins GAs. Hope the poster below is correct about where they will be!
  10. Noticed that both Neil and Wilco have their MusicToday presale the same day. For any others who have accounts in both places, do you think they are pulling from a joint pool of tickets (i.e. will one site have better offerings than the other?)
  11. I hear more "867-5309/Jenny" than "Message In A Bottle" but guess the riffs are similar. Nothing overly special, but nothing wrong with it either.
  12. FWIW...tickets are en route and tracking number is provided (tickets were picked up in Charlottesville yesterday evening)
  13. On Comcast's On Demand Music section, they currently have a 1999 "Later with Jools Holland" show with Wilco, Blur, and Van Morrison. Wilco plays "I Can't Stand It" and "I'm Always In Love". As someone who found out about the band after this period, it was an interesting view. Enjoy (and sorry if this has been posted before).
  14. FWIW, Count Basie sale has moved to Noon EDT (when scrolling over the Wilco link, it shows this info in the lower left hand corner). Slow site...glad I got my tix pre-sale (just trying to help some friends out today).
  15. Baseball and T-ball for us this spring...we'll have to hook up for a cocktail pre-show
  16. Got 4 in Row E. Any ideas how the seat numbers run across based on the seating plan?
  17. What is the maximum number of tickets that have been able to be purchased through the presale? I have typically bought 2 in the past, but, this time around, may need some additional tickets.
  18. Just received their 1st Leg tour announcement: COACHELLA AND BONNAROO APPEARANCES CONFIRMED LETTERMAN AND LENO PERFORMANCES CONFIRMED RCA Records is proud to announce that Kings of Leon have confirmed the first leg of a nationwide US tour. The tour is in support of the new record, "Because Of The Times," to be released on April 3rd. Bookended by appearances at the Coachella and Bonnaroo festivals, the tour will start at Coachella and heads to Seattle on May 2. After the June 14 date in Columbus , OH , the tour finishes at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. More touring is to follow duri
  19. May be a silly question, but... If you get an account, but are not active with either uploads/downloads for a period of time, does the account get suspended? Having some issues with the computer I would use for this purpose and, while I would love access, I don't want to get it, have the account closed because of inactivity, and not be able to get access in the future.
  20. For a "small" service fee, you can get presale tickets...
  21. No cutoff date offered, so, if you have a spare $20, it may be worth it. Been a member for 10+ years now and never been shut out of a show that I wanted to go to. Beats TM, that's for sure.
  22. http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=230659 That busy little birdy told us now would be a good time to make sure your Ten Club membership is current and active because there's some stuff coming up and you don't want to be singing the blues if you miss out. Wow, that's a beak-full for a little birdy! Rumors floating are the Poland date, Bonnaroo, new tour, new DVD, etc...etc...etc...
