  1. bigshoulders mentioned Tryon and Kildaire in an earlier post..are those places on or near those streets?
  2. I'm looking for places to eat/drink before the show but as for actual tailgating (like in the parking lot), probably not.
  3. Wow, sorry you guys had such a bad experience. I don't blame you for not wanting to go back there.
  4. I just recently joined so I'm saddened that I did not get to partake in this.
  5. What happened at Upper Darby? I have the same fear as you regarding the seats. I really hope other people are standing/dancing in my section. Although, it really doesn't bother me if I'm the only one. At the REM show last month I think I was the only person in my area who stood the entire time. Noone complained, though.
  6. I have reserved seats as well. I had lawn at first but then got reserved through sheer luck and sold the lawn tix. I hate when people rush the stage (unless it's GA), so I guess I'd be one of the mad concert goers if that happened. It was a real problem at the Asheville show a few years ago. Basically no security and I couldn't see anything at all for most of the show. However, at the Charlotte show last year, security was pretty tight. Lots of people tried to just mosey on down to the front or stand in the aisle but security was having none of it.
  7. Send me your digits and I'll give you a ring if they do. Next best thing to being there?
  8. Oh sorry, I didn't mean Walnut Creek. I meant the smaller venue that Jeff played in 2006. The name escapes me at the moment. I'll check out Kildaire. Thanks
  9. I've asked everybody I know and their mamas. The Thursday night thing blows it for most people, since Charleston is 4 hours roundtrip and they have to work the next day. Somebody is actually selling tix for Row A. Sounds kinda fishy to me but the post says he's selling at face value so maybe not. Edit - looks like someone bought those. Crap.
  10. Thanks for the info, Kevin. Is the venue about the same size as the amphitheater in Raleigh? I was on the lawn for that show but have reserved seats for this one. So Tryon is one of the more commercial streets in town? I guess I need to do some mapquesting. I'm getting excited, too! I'm bringing one of my sisters in law with me. She just got into Wilco and she's really excited.
  11. I really hope I can get rid of this extra ticket. At this point I'm ready to just give it away.
  12. I got a couple of pics, too. So adorable!! Congrats to mom and baby. Glad everybody's ok.
  13. You had to know which way I was leaning.
  14. What's the point of this thread?
  15. I've been to Wild Wings (we have a few here) but never to Buffalo Wild Wings. I assume they're similar places. My brother has actually been to the Sportz Cafe and he suggested avoiding it if it all possible. I think he had to meet clients there, and he said they were ordering pitchers of something like Miller Lite. I think that was the best they had.
  16. Looks like someone ran Cousin Tupelo off...guess we won't be meeting him before the show. Oh well. Anyway... Matt, I was talking to my brother over the weekend and he mentioned there was a mall near the PAC. He's actually been to the convention center on business and stayed in one of the hotels right there. He said he thought there was a Buffalo Wild Wing nearby. Do you know of any of this?
