  1. i'd say Basement followed by Either/Or followed by XO. Figure 8, while a very fine album, would be at the bottom of my list. the others are interchangable.
  2. thank god they're finally playing in texas again. hallelujah!
  3. my local crappy guitar store surprisingly has one of those weird 7-string things. it's pretty neat.
  4. ivor cutler is in it, which makes the movie 10x more awesome. i love the movie and the album. i have a 70's american LP pressing (as well as the CD). it's not exactly cohesive as a standalone album, but as many have stated, the individual songs are amazing. it's to me one of the lesser beatles albums, on par with Let It Be or something, which is still an incredible album, but not exactly as good as Abbey Road which is my personal favorite beatles album. in my opinion Abbey Road is flawless.
  5. the melody sounds like bob dylan to me. but cornier. like Bob Dylan on Gullah Gullah Island.
  6. i have Eureka and Insignificance on vinyl, and the rest on CD (well, from terminal pharmacy onward)but by far halfway to a threeway is my favorite thing he's done so far. my only complaint is that it's just 4 songs long. the title track alone is worth the purchase,in my opinion. it's a pretty funny (but disturbing) song about doing..uh..."things" to girls with various physical ailments. "as i lay you down on my bed, it don't matter that you're brain dead. i can get so close to ya, now that you're in a coma. i'll make it sweet but short when i pull out your life support. and i know
  7. well, if you figure he has a few j-45's and other assorted gibson acoustics, as well as two pre-war martins, the santa cruz, as well as god knows how many effects and amps and electric guitars...such as vintage Casinos, Barney Kessels, SG's, Telecasters, apparently a white strat, etc...i'd say close to maybe 100 G's? just throwing out a figure.
  8. yeah, i heard your friend is like some sort of tantric sex god.
  9. i have both a prunes and custard and a fulldrive 2 and love both. on the P&C it has some crazy sounds (although my pedal is very trebley. maybe i need to re-set my EQ on my amp or something.). my fulldrive has an aaawesome clean boost (and the "boost" section coupled with the clean boost is even more nice!) and the FM section is groovy for straight overdrive. im not a fan of the vintage section too much, but it's cool i guess. i have the sexy vintage cream one, by the way.
  10. i'd like to do "This is New" if that's cool. i think it'd be cool to do something off of the wilco book cd.
  11. i'm fairly certain it's Cycling 74's Max/MSP. i also heard that he used a Nord Micro Modular, which he would probably be editing on the laptop as well.
  12. there's also a silvertone 1481 in the section where it shows pictures of them recording AGIB.and i'm pretty sure the Supro amp jeff used is the Supro Super 108, which was (if i remember correctly) also the amp of choice for Jimmy Page for a little while.
