That sums it up pretty well, as usually. Thanks Paul
I thought I was kinda out of rock shows, but after last night I have to say "Thank God I'm not". What. A. Fantastic. Show. The Capitol is my favorite venue meanwhile, we go to a lot of shows there, and the acoustic really never fails us. Ok, front row middle isn't the best spot to judge about that, but it was still great so you get the picture
Too bad we can't go to more shows this year, but everyone who's still got a show coming up: You're in for a real treat. This band just seems to get better and better.
(Josh aka Voodoo Man is my new favorite band member )

Awesome, I love bands that go out of their way to just be human beings with a soul instead of being pretentious prats.

I remember my brother had surgery due to severe strabismus about 4 times when he was about 4, and it all went extremely well, he was able to go home the same day, and it healed without problems. Mind you, that was 27 years ago.

Everything will be fine, Bea

They're now waiting for the big one (which will probably be in about 6 weeks ).
Kudos to the people who once decided it was essential to apply those strict earthquake-proofing building rules, as I've just read that this quake was about the same magnitude as the Haiti one....
Glad everyone is ok. Kia ora marire, Aoteaora

Happy Birthday Jeff. And as always, thank you.

Were you even watching the same game? Germany could have been 4 goals up by the time Fat Frankie's hopeful slash went in off the bar. The to compound matters the Germans took the English apart and won handsomely.
you know, i agree we were shit, but, saying the german's could have been 4 goals up by the time of the disallowed goal means nothing at all - unless the 4 goals they should have been up went in the back of the net and then were not counted. 2-2 would have been very very different, and the game could have gone in england's favour, there's no way really of knowing that. it also wasn't a hopeful slash, it was a very good shot - the only one he made in the whole tournament. i think the chances would have been, if they'd allowed the goal, that we'd have gone another goal down, but i doubt 2 more would have gone in, and then we might have had a few minutes of playing well like we did in the first half, then who knows?...
Yep. I still think Germany would have won in the end, because they really were better than England, but even hardcore Germany fans (the ones that play football and/or train teams) agree with me that the match would have been completely different if both teams had had 2 goals and would have had to lay back and rethink their strategies rather than England having to catch up still.
Dull and IMO, more poor officiating. Lots of dives by Spain. No excuse for Netherlands. I only saw 2nd half and extra time, the ball hardly made it near Spain's goal. Spain deserved to win.
Seconded. One of the worst matches I've ever seen. Hard to admit as a Holland fan.

OMG. I am so scared of fire. Guess you had a pretty good guardian angel xx

Have you been checked for auto immune diseases such as Hashimoto? I was in the same situation 5 years ago until I was diagnosed and put on thyroid hormones, and I have my life back most of the time now. Especially the non-sleeping was about to kill me.

They cheated AND won.
Like Germany against England. Disgusting and embarrassing if you like me are cursed with a German passport.

Hup Holland Hup!

LOL yeah, but then I know it's never gonna happen anyway, and the less illusional I become, the less interested I get too. There're only so many years of pointless waiting a fan can take

I've only ordered once from the Wilco store in 2004 and never again. The T-Shirts are complete crap quality-wise, size M fits my friend's baby but not me, and they wanted a faxed copy of my credit card, otherwise they wouldn't process my order!! Thank God it was one that ran out the same month anyway.
I'd never order with them again. The only good thing were two shirts that weren't only big enough but also decent quality.

I voted for the Dutch
I think I'm in love with you

Please don't touch ST. It's perfect as it is
AM would be my choice. It's a bit too dull for my taste, and I think the current line-up could bring the really excellent songs to life like they do on stage.

I feel bad for those kids too, but I feel worse for the people on the flotilla and their loved ones.

I'm gonna buy a Pixies album soon

Cooking and eating (especially Asian and Indian cuisine), and of course travelling the world.
My biggest hobby used to be going to shows, the more the better, but these days what with a busy working & social life it's too much of a hassle. All the waiting around and listening to mostly crappy support acts just takes the fun away. I even had a hard time buying tickets for one single Wilco show this year, and only did it because it's almost walking distance from where we live.

ST on vinyl is the item to collect Wilco-wise, IMHO, so yes.

Hehe Brianne I've only just had the pleasure to meet the poets for the first time, but I am determined to gatecrash their place asap, seeing as they're about the nicest new people I've met in a long long time
It was really awesome to hang out with Paul in my beautiful hometown on the sunniest day we've had in about 11 weeks, and that way I will hopefully finally get some decent photos of its most remarkable spots *hint*
