An extensive tour of Spain in May. Ok. That will somehow work out with taking holidays etc.
Bea, I hear you

Happy Birthday Mr. Via Chicago

I've managed to stay within my self-imposed budget for Tara (new is she won't get any cash, just stuff, as she wastes the cash for senseless things like 20 Lattes/month anyway), and stayed 30

Hey Rosie, nice choice of songs I like the time zones for a change, because it's 9.40 am for me and I can listen to you

My green bean casserole is fabulous, but I mostly ignore the standard recipe and wing it. Let's see, our dinner included:
a 22-lb. turkey (about 20 pounds of terrific leftovers, yay!)
stuffing
mashed potatoes
gravy
green bean casserole
layered salad
pickles! olives! sometimes stuck on fingertips in the traditional manner
ambrosia
homemade yeast rolls
pistachio-crusted cheese log
raspberry trifle
pumpkin pie still untouched because we ran out of room
I think that's it. Wow, we are so lucky to have such abundance of good things!
Edie, please share the spinach recipe!
I am so gonna spend next Thanksgiving in your house Donna (if you won't take me on, I'll nip over to Wendy's )

Yeah, it definitely seems to say "That much tequila was so not a good idea. Sunlight. Ouch."
One can never have too much Tequila. Never. Ever.

I am thankful
- that my daughter is still alive (which is sort of a miracle)
- that my parents have been released from the threat my brother's addiction was to their life, and that he found peace at last
- for my 2 cousins who are closer to me than my brothers ever were
- for having possibly found my dream job (too early to really be able to judge, but still)
- for being able to see Jeff in Mallorca, which was a moment to make peace with this horrible year
- for a certain messageboard that was only founded this year but brings me so much joy, and most of all for the people on there (you know who you are )
- and most importantly for the only love of my life, for the best decision I've ever made, for the person that makes every second of every single day worth living, for the best friend I've ever had, for the only human being (except my Dad) that has never disappointed, betrayed or lied to me - Rob

A very happy wedding anniversary to you

*joins in bat-signal for Basil II*
Can't wait to listen to this. Awesome.

Good luck with everything, I'm sure it will all turn out ok!

Those are incredibly beautiful pictures, Allison. Are you making a living with photography?

Happy Birthday Maudie

Wilco. I saw them in 1999 live, thought they sucked, and refused to even go anywhere near them until 2002, when everyone whose music taste I admired was into them, so I gave them another try. The rest is history
I still have to listen to my first Grateful Dead song

I am having my (small, just for "being there" [sic!] purposes) website hosted with 1&1, it is dead easy to buy a domain and have it hosted, and they mostly also offer options for you to set up a website easily. When you want a more professional one, you can upload your templates as well.

I was going to book tickets for their Frankfurt show recently, but opted out when I saw they were 48

Have the happiest of all birthdays, Brianne

This is absolutely brilliant. If my tax solicitor knew enough English, I'd send this to him to even out his ($

I hear you Loretta. All I want is a bloody half-time job that doesn't include pornography or cleaning toilets. Only to keep me busy in the afternoons and get some extra steady cash in. Yet, I've given up on numerous possible job options already because I was quite openly too daft to fill out the online applications, and/or filled them out which took about 2 hours only to click on "submit" and then get the "page couldn't load" message.
I just today found something different though. It is a job in a countrywide private tutoring company (Tara used them in 2004 too), they want someone to run their branch in my hometown during the afternoons, and guess what? They want you to just come in and introduce yourself

I'm already hearing people count how many times they're gonna sing "Wilco...Wilco.....Wilco.....Wilco".
Not that I want "Misunderstood" to be replaced

Woah!
in Just A Fan
I was there too. And the night before. And the night afterwards. Best 3 nights in a row I've ever had, music-wise. Only maybe even topped by May 23th-25th, 2007.

Does it happen often that Colbert broadcasts shows from a day earlier as the newest show ?
Anyway, until they fixed their problems, you can watch Wilco here:

Sorry couldn't resist.

*I promise to never use this term again
Why not? It could easily match up with the new Tweedy lyrics
