  1. Really looking forward to that DVD. I love the Kids Are Alright. That's the kind of thing I can watch over and over and over again.
  2. The review posted beofre this one was better. (Mojo or something)
  3. These articles do a pretty good job explaining the foreign banks/AIG deal: http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflas...+temp_top+story http://www.iht.com/articles/2009/03/16/business/views17.php
  4. An article that I just read said that the contracts were signed in March 2008, and they guaranteed them the same pay as 2007 regardless of their performance (this is according to Cuomo). If this is true, either both sides signing the contracts were idiots, or they knew they were in trouble and anticipated getting assistance from the government. And we need a new word. According to the American Heritage Dictionary a bonus is "something given or paid in addition to what is usual or expected" or "A sum of money or an equivalent given to an employee in addition to the employee's usual compensation
  5. This is a list of stores in the UK that are participating. http://www.recordstoreday.com/UnitedKingdom
  6. My friend sent me that article. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I was just copying and pasting Panther quotes for fun really.
  7. Whoa. I don't think they've played SPAC in a long time either. Nevermind. Looks like they played there posthiatus.
  8. all i HEAR IS SHUT UP, WELL NO THANK YOU
  9. genuine lol went off down here.
  10. But they're shipping on the 15th presumably to get it to you by the 18th. That's not that bad. I'm personally just going to buy it in store on the 18th. It's a couple of blocks from me and they are some other Record Store Day releases I hope to get (MMJ, Pavement, maybe Sonic Youth)
  11. It's so that people support independents instead of chains:
  12. DON'T TRUST ANYONE SOBER YOUR ALL NUTS
  13. I agree that contracts have to be honored. In this case, since the contracts are old, it's a sticky situation that we don't want to turn into a slippery slope. But in this case, the federal government has 80% of the company, a company that lost $61.7B in the 4th quarter alone. The government should be looking for legal loopholes as aggressively and these guys are, I guess is my only point.
  14. IMF TO PRINT BILLION DOLLAERS OF GLOBLE SUPRE KURNENCY EVEN SCARIER THN THE AMERO PLEASE READ IF YOU DONT BLEIWVE ME!!!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/finance...ive-easing.html
  15. Listening to the shows again: Is there a reason for them to ever play Mexican Cousin again?
  16. Oh, you should be definitely be fine. Usually, they're mp3s (192 or 320). With Sunken Treasure, they were 320kbps mp3's. You could get them no matter where you bought the DVD and then they eventually made them free to everybody on the website regardless of having bought the DVD or not.
  17. "M" is a person yelling Damn! or something like that. I think I should stop playing with this at work.
  18. It's just one video track that you get with the preorder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN5iytN-hlI I would bet audio downloads would be free to everyone eventually, either by inserting your DVD into a computer or downloading from their website.
  19. Well said. When I asked what's wrong with going up to the front, I assumed it was either GA or she knew someone. Every venue is different and some places that is ok. I used to live near a theatre that had the front row reserved for members. For most rock shows, the members never came so security let people up there. Other places I've been to have reserved seating but part of the front is for dancing. If it wasn't ok in this case, tell them how much it ticked you off, and go from there.
  20. I knew that would get a reaction. I went to the NY Times today to read about the AIG bonuses and that was the first article I saw. Ridiculous claims. I understand his reasoning but when taxpayers have a 80% stake in a company, the rules change.
  21. I wouldn't call this "returning the favor." Screwing them out of a ticket is not the same as going up to the front. Wait, what's wrong with going up to the front? Am I misunderstanding something? Why not take them, tell them you didn't like it last time (they'll probably buy you a beer), and then follow them up to the front and have one of the best nights of your life.
  22. You should have a reset button behind your ear. Try that.
