  1. listened to that sharon jones last night. damn good!
  2. i love that album. i don't get why people are so down on it.
  3. I just finished it right now. i like it quite a bit. was not listening w/ headphones, just computer speakers but it sounded good. your standard black francis/frank black stuff, which is to say, a lot better than most people! there are a few odd moments, especially lyrically. overtly sexual lyrics, kinda threw me off but still worth a listen. the first & last songs are great.
  4. listened to this on my way to work, really digging it: black rainbows - carmina diabolo. stoner rock stuff.
  5. liz, that video is so bad it's good. wow.
  6. digging the main guitar riff on that song.
  7. this. thanks for the recommendation. sounds good so far
  8. joey kneiser - all-night bedroom revival
  9. finally got around to checking out first rays & south saturn. digging both a lot. not sure what the hell took me so long. these came out when i was listening to almost nothing but jimi.
  10. i've read that numerous times. i enjoy the cd's so i don't care if they're dick heads live. i'll never meet them nor go see them. ryan adams was a fuckin' lunatic one time i saw him and i still listen to him ;-)
  11. i love the first one. and i don't care how they are live, i'll never see them!
  12. listened to that yesterday. i enjoyed it.
  13. somehow i found that on vinyl a few years ago. it's a great album to put on when you have people over, or when driving, or when working, or when sleeping...or any time.
  14. it's so damn good. could become a new fave spring album for me too. has such a great sunny vibe to it. gotta love the canyon-hippie-california bands.
  15. dawes - northern hills i can't stop.
  16. tom petty - hard promises another great spring music artist!
  17. i love the gorillaz, never really listened to blur. outside of a few songs here & there.
  18. forgot about this one: joe strummer & the mescaleros - streetcore.
