  1. i haven't bought it yet. going to get it on vinyl.
  2. so freaking good! all i've listened to for 2 days.
  3. yes, very true. i just love the robinson bros. great writing duo.
  4. well, i can't really disagree w/ that. as great as luther is, marc's playing fits the band so much more.
  5. i learned a long time ago to never go to the black crowes message board. the 'super fans' hate anything post southern harmony. annoying.
  6. holy shit. the end to my morning song is frickin awesome. my god.
  7. his voice has definitely gotten better/more confident but the female backup singers are such a part of the crowes sound.
  8. this has to be the first time those words were ever said, no? i love the back up singers. i think this album's fantastic. still not all the way through it.
  9. yeah, i don't really like townes either. agree it seems cold.
  10. croweology is pretty damn good. share the ride is quite odd htough. sounds like a drum machine.
  11. i think any dylan fan must watch it at least once. i suggest at least watching the first 9 minutes of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpyphsk3bRo
  12. Hearts of Fire might win the unintentionally funniest movie ever. i bought it on vhs yrs ago. dylan has some hysterical scenes in that movie. edit: apparently some nice fella has put the entire movie on youtube. broken up into clips.
  13. i have 2 of his albums. listen to them once in a while but the song 'cry love' is one of my fave songs at hte moment.
  14. i need to watch masked again. if you are a dylan nut, there are some crazy winks/nods to dylan lyrics through out the movie. it's a bizarre movie. nowhere near as bad as renaldo & clara. that is a pile of shit. too much cocaine back then. yes, pat garrett is an awesome movie. maybe my fave western.
  15. agreed (though i sitll enjoy old dmb) the dead song los lobos covered here is awesome. odd choice.
  16. this. wow. very good. classic example of a band i forget about, hear them, want to listen a lot but still forget to. even saw them live once & absolutely loved them (1996? opening for DMB)
  17. crazy heart soundtrack. quite obsessed with it.
  18. def agree that the mountain isn't his best. apparently i'm the only person who likes washington square. there are some great songs on there. i think it's far better than his last 2 though (especially the revolution. that album sucks minus one or two songs).
  19. huh. i consider myself a pretty big earle fan and think washington square is very solid. so much better than the previous one. jerusalem really grew on me. those songs live are especially good.
  20. my fave earle albums: i feel alright transcendental blues washington square serenade el corazon guitar town (awesome album but the mix/production is horrible) the live album: just an american boy um, earle's always had love songs (though maybe not as lovey/dovey as now. i personally really like his love songs. i don't like most of his political stuff. seems like he tries to hard)
  21. awesome! i had no clue they had a new one. the other isobell/lanegan stuff is great. his solo albums are fantastic as are screaming trees. he's def one of my fave singers. think i'm going to create a lanegan pandora station right now!
  22. that video is awesome. star spangled banner-masters of war-machine gun. brilliant
