Maylee Todd - Choose Your Own Adventure
big miss on my part in 2010. This is pretty good.
that is a terrifying cover.
-
richard ferreira - somewhereville
one of the best albums i've heard in a while. never knew about it until this weekend (released in 2002). sounds like van morrison, costello, the band, jackson browne. so good.
-
The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
My favorite recently discovered band.
nice. i got into htem about 5 years ago after falling in love with blackberry belle by twilight singers
-
i loved his last one & kinda forgot about it. i'll have to check this one out.
-
3rd the streetcore. one of my all-time fave albums
-
RIP joe. one of my faves. still can't believe it
-
black crowes from the fillmore 12/12/10. great show so far.
-
kinda surprised they didn't play some dead songs.
-
ok, cool. i'm sure the others will show up quickly.
-
so i downloaded the 12th/14th shows from etree. anyone seen the other shows up elsewhere?
-
that's an insane setlist. definitely going to dl these
-
i was lucky enough to see them at least once a year since the 'reunion' in 2004 (or 2005?). more than i had before the split.
-
wow, no idea that was hanson.
-
going to start downloading these SF shows. sucks this is it for quite a while.
-
i need to download these san fran shows!
-
I like that much more than anything I've heard from him in quite awhile. Thanks for posting, Wendy.
no kidding. that sounded great
-
izzy stradlin - the river.

depending on the day, cold roses is my fave ryan adams album. so many great songs on that. gold would be second (that's the first RA i ever heard though).
-
i vowed in 96. however, i did end up seeing him again when he opened for 'the dead' in 04 i think. that was actually kind of fun because my wife was with me and he played silvio which is her favorite dylan song.
i can't imagine going through the hassle of buying tickets, getting a sitter etc. to see dylan. but if the stars were aligned and i got a free ticket i'd go. i really like his band and he just mumbles up there. also, he plays a short show, which is nice.
that was one of the last shows i saw from him.

alice in chains - dirt
beyond good.
-
if this was coming from bryan adams, or any other artist (besides ryan) you guys would never listen to it either. production on the album sounds fine, but otherwise, these songs sound like quick knockoffs. take of your blinders...just because it's ryan adams doesn't mean it's great.
dead on man. his new stuff sucks, no way around it. i don't want another heartbreaker, or gold. i just want a good ryan record.

This has been suggested many times, but never proven.
i think your admission of loving 29 & magick proves it.
-
This, but I love it! It should be noted that I am a DRA apologist who loves the entire 29 record and Magick, though.
you crazy coltrane.

not really feeling this too much... it's not BAD, but it's pretty generic rock ala his RNR album (although i loved a few on that one). i suppose it is mostly all b-side/outtakes though. best song on the first disc was already released as 'France'
it's way more generic than RNR (which honestly, i freakin love that album). this one is utter crap. i was skipping every damn song on the first disc. not sure i can even force myself to listen to the 2nd one.
Now Playing: January, 2011

pearl jam - live on ten legs. love the cover of strummer's 'arms aloft'
