Hey, that's the picture I was gonna post.

I have found things in every wall we have removed. Many photos from the 1890's of the family who lived here, magazines, leters, kids toys, a purse with receipts from local merchants for coal & groceries and lumber from May of 1890. An architecture book and engineering book also from the 1890's.

some of oldest things that have dated stamped in them are the door & window hardware, like these:

which have a mfging date of 1878 on the back.

we have yet to gut the 1860 half of the house. hoping to find more good stuff.

I'd really like to see the Pogues (never saw them the first time around), but the live recordings I heard from last year made me decide to just forget pursuing it. Musically they sounded great...Shane sounded pretty awful though.

i saw shane do dirty old town with other musicians on henry rollins awhile ago and decided even foggy memories are better than trying to re-live the past.

i did say to myself, i wonder if ction has the fuse channel on his cable network but then thought, who gives a fuck as long as i have the fuse channel.

platiceyedude, you are clearly calling me out. I will respond. Just remember that I didn't start this threadjack. I would NEVER travel to a Pogues show due to the likelihood of cancellation. I accept cancellations for illness, family emergency and too drunk and/or drugged to perform. Anything that actually will prevent the band from performing whole is totally acceptable for cancellation. Playing another show because you find it to be somehow better for you is not. Plain and simple. How that logic escapes so many, is beyond me.

You might want to be careful because last year after I bought Pogues tickets and had to make all sorts of crazy travel plans they cancelled and didn't even reschedule or return my travel money to me.
