  1. Not so sure it's as much Jagger lying as it might be selective (or forgetful) memory. Either way, great tune....
  2. Most memorable live one was at Oxford in 88 and a hover craft floated around above the crowd during Bird Song Dude landed in the field, too, iirc....
  3. I bought the Spring '90 double disc thing a couple years ago and it's pretty good stuff.
  4. Looking at the choices wondering if that '95 "Visions" is from the very good Philly show....
  5. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/premieres/grateful-dead-archivist-details-massive-new-80-disc-box-set-20150602?page=3
  6. I've never seen/heard of Jerry nodding out during a tune and/or resting his chin on the mic. He forgot lyrics occasionally, as did Weir. Maybe a little more so in the last few years. If said it before, but I am able to find very listenable material from all eras of the band, including '95. Garcia's voiced changed throughout his career and lyrics were sometimes flubbed but, for the most part, the music remained solid (with off-night exceptions, of course).
  7. My first. Had the Lp when I was 11 or so. Got it from the folks I babysat for. And, I'd totally pay $87 for nosebleed seats, as I have never seen them before, either. They still kick major ass, imo.
  8. Loved when CR does his thing with P&F.... He had the trio w/ Jackie and Booby, though. Caught the first one at Rocky Grass several years ago and it was fantastic....
  9. Was thinking the same with Torn and Frayed! Also, I would have had them play about 60 more songs....
  10. ....We Love You->Obsession Yeah, I'm sticking with my initial take on that line too, or it'll fuck me all up. Actually, as I was reading that part, I was saying to myself "I almost feel like I shouldn't be reading this...."
  11. Very cool piece on possibly my favorite Stones tune. I always associated those particular lyrics with coke, as well. Puts a little different perspective on it now. I'd love to here the current (electric) version....
  12. Yes, the Unbroken Chain was the night after the one I cited. I saw a good amount of shows at The Spectrum. I believe it was the only place I saw a rat scurry around a corner, too, during the 3-day run in '84.....
  13. "It's All Too Much" is the best thing Vince brought to the table with the GD. I love this '95 Philly show (I know, I know '95?!!!!!!). The All Too Much is excellent, followed by a kick-ass "Aiko" and letter in the set, a magnificent and touching "Visions"...If you generally ignore 90s/particularly '95, consider the below: https://archive.org/details/gd95-03-18.sbd.1362.sbeok.shnf ed. Some of the best (re: my favorite) 'Stella Blue"s were from the last few years, too. Garcia would often extent the playing/vocals into new territory.
  14. Schools plays in Hard Working Americans, too, with Neil Casal, Todd Snider, etc....
  15. Yeah, cool footage. Watched the documentary again last night with my wife. Didn't know he met his wife when she was 15....
  16. Thanks! Might catch John K's Golden Gate Wingmen this weekend (playing 3 Denver, 1 Boulder) just because. Saw them NYE and was not impressed. Hoping a few months has added some comfort to the outfit.
  17. Reminder that the new Weir documentary is available now on Netflix. My wife has been trying to organize a Bobby short-shorts viewing party for this weekend....
  18. My little dog, Bob, still barks the fuck out of our domain. We've even tried some "egg" thing that supposedly emits an annoying oitch (only audible to dogs) when he barks. It worked for about a half hour the first day. Now I think he has just outweighed the benefits of barking to the displeasure of the high pitch.
  19. If you don't feed them, they won't poop....
  20. It's a bit of a challenge to try and clip them (from what I've heard around the house). For $10 the vet 3 blocks away knocks it out in 5-10 minutes.
  21. Why? Dude needs a cap. Our guinea pig, Mr. Red, has an appointment for a nails clipping today. It's waaaaay easier than trying to hold that man down and do it ourselves.
