Just was listening to a show from '99 that I went to at the Riveiera,... Wilco was a great back then but the level of the playing is far removed from what it is today. not that I don't like the rougher sound, but it just doesn't compar. I think the current outfit fulfills the promise of the song great song writing back then. Even songs that don't really inspire me (Impossible Germany) are played with such a great mix of passion , energy and agility that I can hang until the next one. I mean, has a Shot in the Arm ever sounded better?

Darn blast it, couldn't make it to 2nd City show last week... heard great things. If a spot opens up at any of the living room shows for an old fan, I would love to join the fun. It's my 40th birthday gift to, well, myself. Thanks to all for supporting this most awesome charity. G.

Yeah made it to a few of them... probably been about 6 months... just strikes me as odd that they would hit Detroit, skip Chicago and then be in Philly and NY later this week... No big deal, just disappointing I don't know. it always confounds me when a band skips a town on the basis that they played there recently despite the fact we'd love to see them... I spoke to one of the members of Yo La Tengo a couple years back and asked why they skipped Chicago last year. Same answer... they always attract a big appreciative crowd... Anyway just wanted to see Wilco and Neil Young on the same stag

That rings a little hollow since they are heading back out on the road in a few days. The band can be in bed by midnight tonight if they played Rosemont
