Failed to mention that I am not a big fan of The Whole Love but thought the came off great live, Especially I Might. That song has always irritated me, but loved it last night.

Stellar show! Not a bad seat in the house, respectful crowd, and a band still on fire. Thought Jeff's voice sounded very strong. Great time for a family visiting from NH. My 6 year old drumming phenom thought Glenn's pose during ITMWLY was about the coolest thing ever.

EV and Pj, Wilco, and Neil Finn.....what a show that would be! One can dream.....

Don't knock on Ed......I am still waiting for my ultimate triple bill...Wilco, Pearl Jam and Neil Finn, There are a lot of connections (7 worlds, I'm not there, Jim O'Rourke, Ed's praise of Wilco, integrity) between the three despite the musical differences between Wilco and Pj. Eddie is for real

Hey, I am right up the road on NH coast. Wondering if tailgating is possible at the ballpark in Lowell. Thank in advance. PS Any local Wilco surfers out there?

I love Vedder and am excitied to see what his voice (although not a great singer per say) will bring to this backing band. I just wish is was a different song though. If anybody cares Vedder also has a "solo" album in Sept. It is the Into THe WIld soundtrack.

Apparaently Nels is part of this band that is doing some back up on the Dylan Cd. THe band will back up Eddie Vedder (whom I am a fan of) and more. Also includes members of Sonic Youth.

I was just strapping my surfboard to the roof of my car and was laughing out loud about Glenn standing with his sticks above his head in killer rock star pose during the intro ITMWLY. Killer version by the way. A neighbor caught me laughing, but he just wouldn't understand.

I was actually pretty happy with the sound. Keyboars were low and the drums a bit muddy, but for an outdoor tent it was good. I was second section next to board andwas immediately stuck by the quality of the sound. I have seen a few shows there where the sound was sucked. Elvis Costello comes to mind. I thought the Volkswagaon comment was very funny.

I have seen Wilco many times and must say that this was one of if not the best Wilco show I have seen. What a band! Clearly enjoying themselves, tight as hell, and on fire, and many goosebumps. I hope Glenn had himself a shower. Passeger Side was a great surprise, but I thought the crwod would go more nuts over it. I guess that shows how many new fans there are that may not know this one. All good.

I don't think promoting a new album is reason for repetitive set lists. They can play the new stuff and old. However, they might not like playing many of the older songs. I would rather see energy in the songs rather than see the band going through the motions playing songs they don't feel like. If I was seeing multiple shows it would upset me more. I don't think Wilco will ever be a band that just does the same thing everynight. Like them or not Pearl Jam does a great job of mixing up shows and representing their catalouge without sounding stale.

Looks as if Ryan has taken a step back as far as size of venue. I saw him put on an awesome show at the Orpheum and a completely crappy show at the Avalon. I do like smaller venues, but if Wilco had to scaleback it would be a bit depressing. Anything bigger than BofA Pavillion would also be depressing. Somerville is a cool theater. Saw Lucinda there a couple of years ago and a mind numbing Finn Bros. show there. Ryan Adam has very much underwhelmed with his last few releases.

Thank you all for your prayers....I guess my post was based on the idea that I have no idea what there is to NOT like about this album. Straightforward....yes, but we are talking about a genre of music in which the more direct, the better; as long as it is original. Wilco makes something that has the potential to become something you've heard before sound completely fresh and refreshing. I love all of their released and this one just simply adds to a playlist that is rivaled by very few today.

Just had to get it off my chest...SBS ranks among the best of Wilco. Can't stop listening to it. Love it to death. Only concern is that I loved right from the get go and I may get tired of it. Usually the growers last longer.

I guess I am just underwhelmed. I'm in a musical slump and thought this would pul me out, but it hasn't. I full band concert would surely be a DVD to treasure. Tweedy is still the man.

Yeah...it is sad. I am not going to sell it in hope of it finally "clicking". I also think his guitar playing is much better than the days of old, but on this DVD something is off. The playing seems really sloppy and the song selection does not work well for solo acoustic. A few songs are gems (most of the finger picked selections), however cuts like How to Fight..., Summerteeth, IATTBYH, amonstt others are flat and a bit boring.
