  1. Andy is always the voice of reason.
  2. My obsession stems from when I worked in the cash office at a grocery store. I had to count all of the tills and do the bank deposit and all that. I made sure all of the cashiers put their money in right because I was sick of it going every which way. It's a lot faster to count money (by hand) when it's all going the same direction. If you're counting a stack of $20 bills, it's easier to see if a $10 or something was mixed in because you'd immediately notice the difference.
  3. This would be a good story problem in a 4th grade math book.
  4. All my cash has to be grouped by like bills and all facing the same direction. That's pretty much the only thing I'm a stickler about.
  5. Nickelodeon did a "kids pick the president" thing and Obama won there.
  6. I highly doubt the republicans will do anything to repeal roe v wade, if elected. If they repeal it, what will they have to go on next time around? I think they think of it as their insurance policy to get into the white house.
  7. I think Colin Powell gave a lot of reasons why he was voting for Obama and he gave a lot of reasons why he was unhappy with McCain. I don't remember Powell himself mentioning race as a factor.
  8. We have a really conservative deacon at our church and although he is very pro-life and his homilies are often about abortion, abstinence, and other moral issues, he even says you have to look at the whole picture. I'm pretty sure he's a republican anyways.
  9. The Catholic church never said they want people to vote for McCain specifically. They never endorsed him as a candidate. They can urge parishioners to vote a certain way on certain issues, but they can't specifically endorse a party or candidate. Our church has a "Vote no on proposal 2" sign out front, but they couldn't have a McCain or Obama sign out there. They could put a pro-life sign out there if they were so inclined. Our church as always urged voters to look at the whole picture, unless you are a one issue (abortion) voter, then pro-life wins.
  10. So if Osama Bin Laden were eligible to be president, and he was a candidate and the only one who was pro-life, Catholics would have to vote for him? How silly. Obama is not pro-abortion. He's not telling people to get abortions, he's saying he wants the government to stay out of the decision.
  11. Even if Obama wins in Ohio, Michigan fans will still find a way to spin it to make them look better.
  12. I have to disagree, especially if you're a Michigan fan
  13. My republican friend sent me the link to these shirts. http://urtshirts.com/
  14. I drive a Honda Pilot and I'm so tempted to get an Obama bumper sticker and put it on the back of my car so it will read "Obama is my co-Pilot" just to piss off all of the people who think that I think he's the second coming or something.
  15. Breaking news on CNN that Obama will miss some upcoming campaign events to visit his ailing grandmother in Hawaii. vibes to his granny!
  16. I saw it on a blog earlier today. I looked like it was linked from the NBC/SNL site.
  17. Wow, just wow. And yes, I did need a kleenex after watching that.
  18. That Alaska rap thing was pretty funny.
