I applaud her decision to keep the baby, and if she WANTS to marry the father, then more power to her. But they can't be so hypocritical. They can't tell everyone to respect their privacy, yet put their private lives out there on display.

Back when GW was first in office, I used to like Laura. I thought she seemed like a genuinely nice lady. For the past couple of years, she's really aged and it seems like her smiles are forced and fake. I agree with the stepford thing...

I thought the same thing. I feel for Bristol Palin. I wonder if her and the baby daddy want to get married or if there is pressure from the parents? I don't think ANYONE should be forced to get married against their will, baby or no baby.

We have a memory foam mattress and we love it. We've had it for about 3.5 years so far and it still feels like a new bed. One thing to keep in mind is that if you get one with a pillow top, you'll probably have to go out and buy new sheets because the old ones might not be deep enough. But then again, it's nice to get new sheets. I don't know how the mattresses at Ikea are, but you have 90 days to decide if you like it or not...

In defense of Palin and the family values/working mom thing. Family values means a strong family, whether or not the mom or the dad "brings home the bacon" is irrelevant. As long as she has a supportive husband and supportive kids (the older ones anyways) it's still a strong family. Just because she works and will be campaigning, doesn't mean that she's just going to cast her kids, especially the baby, aside. A friend of mine works full time and her husband is a stay at home dad. There's nothing wrong with that.

I don't know how you determine it but we're definitely middle class. We own our own home, we drive 2 nice cars (2007 civic and 2008 pilot), have 4 kids, I'm a stay at home mom, we have money in the bank, etc. We're definitely not rich, but we are comfortable, but only because we're smart about our money. I know people who make more than us who don't know how to handle their money who live paycheck to paycheck and consider themselves poor. We just have a budget and stick to it.
