I was just thinking this yesterday. He doesn't look well at all and looks like he could snap at any moment. He just seems really stressed out.

It's really amazing to think of it that way.

My six year old falls asleep every night to a mix cd consisting of Guided by Voices, Pavement, Ben Lee, and a couple other bands that I can't think of off the top of my head. Usually he's asleep by the time the Ben Lee songs are done and that's when it gets turned off.

Does anyone thing McCain might do the old switch-a-roo with his VP pick? I kind of have a feeling that if this whole debate thing doesn't work in his favor, he'll dump Palin for Romney. There will be a huge surge in the polls again because of it and he'll be back on top, right in time for the election.

I lost my dad almost 4 years ago, so I know what you're feeling, Gary. In most ways, I wish my dad were still here because not a day goes by that I don't need him for something, whether it's to fix my leaky roof, tell me why my car is making a weird noise, or to ask advice about my kids. I miss him so much. I can't imagine how much work has gone into this debate already. The whole city is being turned upside down and I'm sure a crap load of money has been spent. I can't see them just calling the whole thing off. Can't they just hop on a plane, debate, and then go back to Washington?

I agree. It's the same type of mentality that men use to make their boys play football instead of soccer.

I'd like to point out that being gay is not a sin. Having sex outside of marriage is, whether it's with a man or a woman. Since the Catholic church believes that marriage can only happen between a man and a woman, gays are pretty much left to live a celibate life if they don't want to sin. Same with heterosexuals who don't get married. Whether you agree with that or not, is another thing. I personally say to each his own. If you're not Catholic, have at it. If you are Catholic, maybe you need to reconsider.

There was a study done a while ago and I don't remember who did it or anything to be able to find a link to it. But, basically they hooked straight men up to something that measured their state of arousal and then had them watch gay porn. The homophobes were the ones who were the most aroused. I feel bad for people who feel that they can't come out. I wish people were more accepting. That's one thing that my kids will never have to worry about. I don't care if they come to me and say they're gay or pregnant or whatever, I'm still going to do what I can to support them.

Maybe it's because I have so many kids and I'm used to trying to keep track of everyone at once. I can turn it off in a heartbeat though. I can tune stuff out, just as easily as I can pay attention to everything.
