  1. Or it will help you if your a one income family with lots of dependent children...
  2. He's not sporting a wedding ring. No wonder we've seen his wedding pics before...
  3. Your Obama Tax Cut is: $468.76 How do I find out what McCain would tax me? edit: found it Shoot my McCain tax cut is: $952.34. But I'm still voting for Obama...
  4. Obama's got some cute kids. That's all I feel like adding at this point.
  5. Jason might take the boys golfing sometime this weekend, but other than that, we're not doing anything.
  6. It would be awesome if all the other kids were in a circle yelling stuff like "kick him in the nuts" and "kick his ass seabass" My 2 year old could have taken any of those kids...
  7. Congrats Jules! Those are some cute kids!
  8. Definitely spend some time driving or walking through the neighborhood at various times of the day. If you walk, you may actually be able to meet some of your potential neighbors. Definitely get the house inspected and if it's a well, get the water tested. If it were me, I'd definitely do 20% down and a 30 year fixed rate. You can always pay it like a 15 year but incase you ever fall on hard times, it's nice to have the lower of the two payments. I'd also pay my taxes and insurance separate. It never fails that the mortgage company will screw up your escrow and have to raise your paym
  9. The scariest book I've ever read was The Amityville Horror. I think I was like 12 when I read it and it gave me nightmares for months. The thought of that book still gives me the creeps.
  10. Thanks for postponing it. I still have to get the book and our local library only has the large print version and I can't stand to read large print. I'm not going to be able to buy it until the weekend, but I read super fast so I won't be behind.
  11. Praying for a miracle. Lots of vibes to your friend.
  12. I know. It's kind of like saying, "Hitler was a son of a bitch, I'm never going to Germany"
  13. A lot do leave the church and that's completely ok with me. If being Catholic isn't for you then more power to you. Just don't try to bring the rest of us down who are quite happy being where we are... (Not directed at you, Dan)
  14. My Catholic toes get sick of being stepped on. I'm fine with people having whatever beliefs they have. I just get sick of all of the world's problems being blamed on the Catholic church. Poverty was a problem BEFORE birth control was invented. It will always be a problem regardless of the Catholic church's stance on birth control.
  15. I voted for Oscar Wao simply on the basis that I have the book already and have not read it.
  16. My 6 year old has a Strokes shirt from Target...
  17. No you don't. Women do it all the time to figure out when they are fertile in order to get pregnant. Plus, it's not just cervical mucus changes, it's basal body temp changes, cervical position changes, etc. It's very easy actually and it's amazing what you learn about your own body when you try it.
  18. Your numbers are either a little out of date or your definition of NFP is the Rhythm Method. Sympto Thermal has a 1% failure rate when used correctly. There are many different forms of NFP, some more effective than others.
  19. When used correctly, like any form of BC, NFP is just as effective. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/...70221065200.htm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6375261.stm http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8401097
  20. You can also educate people on ways to avoid pregnancy using methods other than artificial birth control. Plus, the great majority of the people who MT helped were not Catholic or christian for that matter. They were free to use all the birth control they wanted and yet didn't.
  21. I get so irritated with the Breakfast Club rip off commercial. Plus, the kids that it's geared towards probably don't even know the movie. Seriously, it irritates me so much that I am boycotting JCPenney when it comes to back to school shopping.
  22. Classic "chick lit" is ok. I love Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters. Maybe some Steinbeck, Shakespeare, Hawthorne, etc. I'm reading the Scarlet Letter again for the 3rd time right now...
