I don't know if it has any benefits as far as nutrition, but I think it might help hold the filet together a little better while you're frying it. That's just they way I've always had it. Coat the filets in a little flour, salt, and lemon pepper and fry it. Skin and all.

You definitely have to eat the skin when you're eating perch and sunfish and crappie that you caught a few hours prior.

Still, do you want that crap all over your deck or patio? Plus, if you hose it off into the grass, it gets all over your feet when you're barefoot. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Have you ever tried to scale a fish and not had the scales go EVERYWHERE? I bet Alton Brown is a jerk in real life, but I love his show. I want my kitchen to be just like the one on the set. Except I don't want cameras in my appliances or cupboards.

Good Eats is a really good show, but I'm a science nerd, so... My 10 year old DVR's that show because he likes it so much.

What's the worst thing you ever ran thru the washer?

I washed Jason's cell phone not too long ago. It still works! -

It was $3.62 this morning in south east Michigan. -
Sorry, no. Something about the way she looks makes my skin crawl. Blah...

When Grace was born, we moved Jacob out of our room and into his own room. He wouldn't go to sleep at night and would keep everyone else up crying. So we had to resort to cry it out with him. I think it took us two days of letting him cry and he became the best sleeper. Grace has always been a good sleeper, which I'm sure helped things. She was sleeping for 6+ hours at about 2 weeks, but she liked to co-sleep and I think having either Jay or I there is what helped her sleep. When she was about 10 months old, she had enough of sleeping in our bed and wanted to sleep in hers. I was sad,

The thing I used to like the most about that show was when they would talk about the local stuff. As much as people want to say that it was either Drew or Mike that made that show, it was both of them together and WRIF is going to go downhill big time without both of them together. According to the article that I read, Drew & Mike were responsible for up to 85% of the revenue and I can't see them pulling those kinds of dollars in with just Mike, Mark, & Trudy...What a bummer.

Bruce Springsteen's voice makes my skin crawl. I thought High School Musical and High School Musical 2 were good movies. But then again, I'm a big fan of the sitcoms on The Disney Channel.

Yay Babies! Look at all that hair. We also have 4 kids but we had 3 boys before having our girl. Our youngest are also just shy of 13 months apart. Honestly, the transition from 3 kids to 4 kids was the easiest yet. Congrats!

I just finished: I just started:

Man, this thread reminds me of how much I want a pair of Keens. I have a pair of New Balance running shoes that I wear when I'm going to be walking a lot. They are really comfortable and made from this really breathable fabric that keeps your feet cool. My Doc Martens are really heavy and clunky, but I just think of all the extra calories I'm burning as I walk...

A friend of mine who lives just south of Ann Arbor felt it. I slept through it. I'm used to my house shaking though. I can feel it when my washing machine is doing the "max extract" cycle since the washer and dryer are on the second floor. If I would have actually felt shaking, I would have thought someone was doing laundry.

Wow, how scary. Big time vibes coming your way

Oh, that's funny. I almost want to order the set that contains the bonfire scent. Almost.

I finished Mansfield Park the other day. Now I'm reading:

That looks like a pretty cool place.

That was a pretty good list, but I'm sad the Lindsay Lohan Debbie Downer skit wasn't on there. Granted, it probably wouldn't have been 1/2 as funny if they didn't start cracking up at each other. Debbie Downer I also thought this one was pretty funny... Pretentious NYC Store Clerks

The Omnivore's Dilemma was really good.

I wonder about that too. Jason's job is the type that he could do 99% of it from home, yet they don't have a work at home option. Although, with 4 kids running around the house, he's better off at work. -
What does that have to do with 1970's climate change?

Why, why, why, must religion be brought into every debate thread?

I paid $3.49 for the cheap stuff last night. I'm in SE Michigan, about 1/2 hour south west of Ann Arbor.
