This is a really interesting read of the musicality of the song. At first I thought you were reading too much into it, but regardless I rather like your interpretation.

i know i'm reading too much into it, but it's interesting because the song is about him in his car and the pulsing throughout the song sounds like the sound a car makes when the door is open and keys are in the ignition. anyone notice that?

i'm sure it wasn't intentional, but i like it!

then kudos to jeff for choosing happiness in his life.

i'd rather see wilco's music take a step down and jeff be happy, than the other way around.

that being said, Wilco the Album is definitely NOT a step down, it is everything I hoped it would be

Have you all received your confirmation emails yet? I couldn't print off the page because my computer wasn't hooked up to print. I always get nervous when I don't have the confirmation. But it was taken out of my checking account already...189 bones. They really kill you with those service fees.

I would have to agree with justin... the definitive version in my mind is the one from milwaukee's summerfest in jul. '06. the song was a little more forceful and rocking at first, kotche hammering it home, and nels completely kills it. I also think the one from the EP, I believe from one of the denver fillmore nights, is also real kick ass, and should come in at second.

do you have a download of the one from summerfest, i lost my copy of that show and now i can't find it anywhere, i'd like to hear that song though if you have it. thanks
