i'm awake. i had a very similar dream from one i've had before (about going to LA for the fancy food show which i have never done) and now i have a terrible crick in my neck.

well, i lost the bet about the quarterback getting hurt in the first episode, but i was right about the team winning the first game. So football is really that nutty for HS in texas, huh? we didn't have football in my WASP town--we had tennis and soccer and rowing, so it all seems really foreign to me--all that reverance for football.

i have to fix the city tomorrow so we'll be asking Mr. TiVo to watch it for me.

we're watching! caliber and i just made a bet that the coach's wife leaves him halfway through the first season. I say its not that kind of a show and that she gets knocked up instead. five bucks. Anyone want a piece of this action?

Amistad, A Wake in Providence, Federal Hill , as well as the TV series Providence, all filmed here. Most recently Underdog, some other movie with Meryl Streep in it, new Joey Pants vehicle "Waterfront," and Showtime's Brotherhood. Brotherhood and Underdog (on our street) with A Wake in Providence and Federal Hill filming up the street. i'm sure there are more but that's all i can think of. I'm sure they'll be filming Prince of Providence here (starring Russell CROW!) any day now.

the Royals have become my team away from home, since all my favorite red sox players seem to end up there. The Red Sox open their season in KC next and me and the old man are thinking of making the trek.
