  1. Happy Birthday, Art Dude. Banjo wants to know when you're going to do a study of orange kitties? Yay!
  2. great ending to the sox game today. i'm so glad i invested in gameday audio so i can hear the games at work!
  3. I haven't seen that ad, but does it also include home heating oil, and oil used to run power plants?
  4. Do you really believe that? if so, what the hell are they teaching you at that school!?
  5. The bike shop here near us is ordering this one for me in the 18.5 frame. I know it is totally girly but i rode a more serious bike and frankly it was uncomfortable, and i'm never going to be any kind of speed demon or triathalete, and this one was so much fun to ride and i felt really confident on it (my fear of crashing and breaking my leg/hip is always going to be there) and even though i loved the green color, they didn't have the size i needed and couldn't get the size and frankly the eggplant is a little less froufrou. thanks for everyone's help--i'll let you know how i like the 18.5"
  6. Well, thankfully we live in a country where no one will force you to have one. Or an abortion.
  7. None of those are good enough reasons for someone who is prolife. Those are reckless decisions, and if she had half a brain she would know that having 4 kids previous doesn't give you any kind of indication what the NEXT one will be like. Even I know that and I'm not a mom.
  8. Re: Palin. I don't know what is worse, the rumors or the truth. She either is reckless enough with her child's life to be on a 8 hour plane trip to texas AFTER her water breaks (who knows, maybe she wasn't worried about the baby's health because she already new the poor child was not going to be perfect) or she lied about being pregnant to protect her daughter. Either way and for a lot of other reasons I don't think it makes her a very good choice for McCain.
  9. Bump because someone moved this and it ended up on the 91st page!
  10. I think it is 10 years. but i don't know where i got that info.
  11. you know who is a freakin' hottie? Mark Kotsay. A little facial hair really makes the man in that case. Man o Man!
  12. My account was hacked. I was drunk. Someone slipped me some ruffies.
  13. Yes, get a new box spring. If you don't want a latex foam thing, then have the mattress store (if you go to one) throw in the bed wraps that keep out the dust mite things. We have TWO of those memory foam things on our bed and while they are generally comfortable, they don't do anything when your mattress is saggy. There is truly nothing better than a new bed, and if you're having back problems and not getting a good night's sleep, do not get anything on the cheap. It isn't worth it.
  14. The Alliance's member groups plant trees that are between 2.5 and 3 inch caliper trees (so depending on the tree--between 5 and 9 ft tall already.) Trees planted in parks or restoration trees can be much smaller, like the kind you can buy at home depot for 19,99 in a 5 gallon bucket, but city street trees need to be big already and therefore they are a lot more expensive.
  15. I'll probably go to hell for this, but it would be ok with me if the sox didn't win the world series. I am worried that all the injuries are taking a toll and that September is going to be disasterous. That said, I really don't want to see the DEVILrays go anywhere.
  16. Thanks people. We're a pretty small non profit compared to the big ones like arbor day foundation, and american forests, both of which plant a millions of seedlings every year for restoration projects. They get all the big money (like if you go to eddie bauer and they ask you to donate a dollar, or when you are at Ikea and you have to pay a nickle for a plastic bag--that all goes to american forests and let me tell you, it adds up) but we focus on urban tree planting, because it is where most people, most POOR people live and the city has so many challenges that trees are often last on anyone'

  18. I don't know who that dude is but I voted yes on both
  19. We are thinking about going to some yard sale this weekend-you need any crap?
  20. well, i never quite understood the over/under business but considering what a mean sob he can be online, I have to wonder whether he's coming back as a poptart or perhaps a trisket or something out of a can, like beefaroni.
  21. This conversation reminds me of the comedy skit where the family brings charles manson home as a pet and he just doesn't make any sense at all, but everyone laughs. Was that SNL? Or Kids in the Hall? I can't remember. MAD TV i think.
