Do we have a separate thread to talk about the Denver Convention, or do we do it here?

I don't have time to read the 40 new threads in Umm every day, and certainly can't read the random thread any more, now that i have a real job (thanks caliber, for making me go back to work, i'm really enjoying the commute and the comraderie!) So hopefully we can get Lyric and Will updates and pics in this here thread. Also: updates on how moms and dads and big sisters and pets are doing etc. Ok, so thanks and I look forward to seeing some stuff in here.

We let our agent suggest a few different people--both with mortgage brokers and home inspectors, and then I did my own homework. We ended up using mortgage guy she suggested, and we had a great relationship with him over the years, he even refinanced when it came time. But we got our own home inspector after being screwed by one on another house we were looking at, who was clearly in cahoots with the previous mortgage broker--a $29K house and suddenly we needed over $100K of work before we could close, and $9K in closing costs. Turns out the mortgage broker wanted to buy the house and flip it -

If you haven't already--get prequalified. It will make everything go smoother. Do you own research for mortgage brokers--beware of taking advice from either the sellers or buyer's agent on services like that, although you can ask if the agents get any kind of kickback. If you don't have a buyer's agent, get one. Costs you nothing. Can save you lots. When you look at houses carry a little notebook and a camera so you can take pictures of things you don't want to forget like how many layers the roof has, etc. Do your homework. Actually in VA, they increased the HOV2 lane to HOV3 lane, so now you can drive in the lane (i think) if you are in a hybrid with ANOTHER person, you can't drive in the HOV lane by yourself in a hybrid. We actually drove a Corolla Hybrid when we were car shopping and it was a SWEEEET car. I really wanted it. but it was expensive and we needed two cars, so we got two fuel efficient mazdas. If i was buying a new car in the next year i'd seriously consider a new VW with the "clean diesel" and run bio in it. We have a family member who works for GM so we could have gotten a very good deal on

Don't even get me started on the incredible sense of entitlement I find on the streets of DC by Prius drivers! I am becoming obsessed! I am finding myself stalking them, before they cut me off, or pass me on the right, park wherever the hell they want or pull some other bullshit thing they do. The insane thing is, that it is always the hatchback priuses, never the sedan ones. The sedans seem to come with some manners, seem to know their place as just a car on the street. I know it sounds crazy to lump in an entire model of car like this, but I am really being terrorized by priuses during my da

The end of Roman Holiday when Audrey Hepburn disappears behind the stage and Gregory Peck waits for her but slowly walks out of the or cathedral--it is a room with a long aisle so they camera shows just how long of a walk it is, in this huge cavernous building, but you can tell he's walking so slowly, waiting to see her come running back out. But she doesn't, and eventually he walks all the way out of the room...

I could NOT get through underworld, and ben read Lamb which looked really stupid (to me) so I'd rather read one of the others, preferably Ghost Map. BTW, can i add one into the mix that i've already read but totally rocks: Devil in the White City and has a topical (Chicago) angle. Maybe everyone has already read it though. I am currently read (sort of) Omnivore's Dilemma...

I don't even pretend to understand the nuances of 4x whatever relays, but it seems that the last dude is the one who made up the most time. Did Michael Phelps really lead his team to gold? -
