  1. I had not seen Wilco yet this year - with them turning the volume down a bit - and with Jeff playing more acoustic guitar I felt like I could really enjoy what each member of the band was bringing. A great set list for sure - Sunken Treasure was amazing, The Lonely One at the end was a nice surprise. I don't go to as many shows as I once did - really happy I caught this one.
  2. I didn't decide I was going for sure until just a few days ago. After getting mad at a broker's BS I checked Ticketmaster again today and got Section 1 Row 15 seats on the floor... so they must have released some just recently. Yeah.. it sucks that you can't go to the venue and get priority for your dedication and effort.
  3. I used to live in Rochester, 4 blocks from where they are playing. Before that I lived in Fargo. I couldn't believe it when I saw the back to back nights of Fargo and Rochester... all those times I drove so many miles to see them! I live in Minneapolis now so will be driving that familiar Rochester to Minneapolis route in reverse this time And Yes, the show will be amazing.
  4. I am gonna be in Lawrence visiting my parents this wknd.. so I will be heading to the Wilco show on saturday. From the 1st picture on their site.. it looks like the "VIP" area is just a little fenced off area to the right of the stage.. not too big a deal if you ask me. http://www.crossroadskc.com/photo_gallery/
  5. Minneapolis used to get 2 or 3 shows per year. Those days are gone. That being said, it would be nice to get a show atleast once in a while. They've played Duluth and Winnipeg the past two summers, and we have not had a show in close to 3 years now. I would be suprised if we don't get something soon.
  6. We Jam Econo Nels Cline even makes an appearance or two. He talks about playing D Boon's guitar on one of Mike Watt's albums.
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_Nights: "In early 2003, rumors began circulating that the club would close to make way for a new Casino development. The rumors were confirmed in early 2007 [1], with the last show scheduled for January 19, 2007." A Casino? Ya, that is just what the world needs more of.
  8. All right! Finally, a top 50 list with My Brightest Diamond. That album is totally awesome in my opinion. I saw her at 7th Entry in Nov and First Ave 2 weeks later.. totally great shows. My only complaint is, you should move it up your list a bit
  9. There is a Harold's Chicken Shack one block south of Auditorium Theatre. Atleast there was 3 years ago when I went to both shows. Oh man, I love that place. There are so many options though really...
  10. Perhaps the most nothings.. lengthwise I have a recording from 95 that goes on for 13 minutes.
  11. Busy Bee Monkey Song Well.. my vote is 'If That's Alright'
  12. Yes.. Nickelback is by far the best torture music. At a place I used worked this guy blasted Nickelback in the lab... oh man, it drove me nuts. That guys voice, whoever the lead singer is... it just makes me angry beyond belief.
  13. And another one... with annoying drunk chick unfortunately. Jeff Tweedy 2/28/99 Lounge Ax, Chicago, IL Down in the Willow Garden: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...8F6589571086666
  14. nice list, here is a good one you don't have. 4-29-95, wherever: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...FEADB8706BF883C
