we can synthesize the data: Wilco produces 32% of an album in roughly 4.5 months, using this we can predict that the next album after this one will be released, given 2 months off for touring time: June 27th, 2010 should I start a new thread about this new new album?

A Love Supreme was another brilliant album and that wasn't born out of conflict. It was Coltrane's gift to the Lord. So maybe this upcoming album will be really good only if Tweedy consider's it his gift to God... Wilco has surprised us before, it could happen: Wilco the Christian Rock band. P.S. I'm joking

I don't know about you guys, but I'm just excited to watch the whole band on my T.V..... in color!

The show was awesome. One particular highlight was during Spiders when the crowd, reportedly for the first time ever, changed the clapping beat from 1 2, to 1 and, 2, 1 and 2. (sorry for this super rough notation of rhythm) Poor places was a highlight as was Kingpin, which I think stole the show: "Living in... brooklyn." The crowd seemed respectful up front where I was. Although the place was huge and I would definitely not get caught all the way in the back.

Regardless of your feelings toward Neil Young you have to recognize that Neil has had a tremendous influence over Jeff. I would even go as far to say that Neil has probably influenced Jeff more than anyone else, with the possible exception of Gram Parsons. So if Wilco opened for Neil, which would hopefully only be for a show or two (Wilco is beyond touring as an opening act), I would look at it as Wilco paying its respects to a rock legend way out of his heyday. It would be like LeBron James playing a game of basketball with Wilt Chamberlain. Assuming Wilt could resurrect, of course.

that is a sick lineup and i totally understand why people dislike dave matthews, i used to be one of em. but when i'm in the mood, i think dave can be alright. I picked him mainly because he's an energetic singer and i think he would work well with my lineup. He's great live too, obviously people are entitled to their own opinions

Okay so I thought this up while standing in the shower, it was too good not to post. Pick your dream band to play a dream concert at any venue. Anyone, any song, anywhere. Here's the catch, one of the members of your band has to be from Wilco (hopefully this would be fulfilled without being a requirement, being that we are on the via chicago forums). It's more about the members of your band than the set list and venue, but I thought those would be fun to add on. There is no out of bounds, they can be recently deceased, say Hendrix on Guitar, or way dead: J.S. Bach on keyboard anyone? I'll

I don't think this counts, but i smiled when I read it: A little excerpt from Hemmingway's The Sun Also Rises: "...You must get to know the values" said the count. "Doesn't anything ever happen to your values?" Brett asked. "No. Not any more." "Never fall in love?" "Always," said the count. "I am always in love." pg. 61 in my edition, in case anyone wanted to check it out
