  1. it also my opinion that they are currently the two best live acts in the world.
  2. that would be awesome. i'm sure there will be others as well. i have a recording of every wilco show i've attended thus far, so i'm hoping i get one for this show too.
  3. anyone planning on recording?
  4. i couldn't agree more, good point.
  5. awesome quote. although i would argue that wilco aims for the head as well
  6. i don't think they've really influenced each other at all really, both bands come from two completely different musical backgrounds. they just happen to draw a significant amount of comparisons.
  7. not that i agree with it, but its a comparison that warrants some discussion in my opinion. i recently listened to an interview with jeff on a radio station in massachusetts i believe, and he seemed somewhat standoffish/slightly annoyed when the interviewer mentioned the comparison (evident in his tone of voice more than anything). as someone who is heartily obsessed with both bands, i'm interested to hear what others have to say regarding this, or regarding comparisons between different bands in general.
  8. joe pisapia house concerts this keeps getting better
  9. quite a bold statement, i'm going to have to download this immediately. especially since your shrimp boat recommendation was right on edit: fuck, this is good.
  10. i am quite surprised/saddened that unknown pleasures didn't make it.
  11. lets keep it to 5 headliners and 10 lineup bands, otherwise i think the lists will go on forever. Headlining: Wilco (playing anything after being there and before sbs), Radiohead (anything except pablo honey), The Beatles, Joy Division, Ludwig van Beethoven Lineup: Blue Scholars, Can, Fugazi, Arcade Fire, Hot Snakes, M83, The National, Neutral Milk Hotel, Unwound, Wu-Tang Clan
  12. i agree, there's not a lot on there that i don't already own. i was hoping to get introduced to a few albums i hadn't heard before. great list though, thanks gogo i just looked at the spreadsheet, awesome!
  13. i'm praying for a nice night.
  14. i think that one wing sounds like it belongs in SBS, which was a major let down for me. i certainly hope they head in a different direction on their next album.
  15. ah, i just saw him on broadway in that play with frances mcdormand. it was amazing! this sucks, however.
  16. last time i saw built to spill i ended up walking out towards the end - randy described eternity is awesome. randy described eternity + 15 minutes of unrewarding noise is not. it was a fun show besides that though.
  17. as a frequent traveler of I-95, i can wholeheartedly tell you its hell in the form of a freeway. that sounds incredible though, i've always wanted to follow a wilco tour around.
  18. wheres a good place to start with this band? i've been meaning to get into them.
