My first RSD this year.. Got myself: Fleet Foxes 12" Gorillaz 12" Radiohead 12" Iron & Wine 7" Black Mountain 7" A couple of ideas for future RSD's - give people the option of pre-ordering from the record stores the items they actually want, so shops know how much of each record to order. Obviously would only work if pressing no's were increased. Then on the day of RSD you could just walk in and pick up your vinyl. You're still buying from the store on RSD, you just get more of a chance of picking up the items you want. Also if the stores took the factory wrapping off the RSD release

yep, experimental noise is a good description. Bennett's lane is a really small venue and we manage to snag some seats pretty close to the stage. I'm not too familiar with either Nels or Glenns work outside of Wilco, but it was basically an hour of experimental music. There was alot of strange noise making, lots of cool guitar effects, and Glenn had a pretty interesting set-up which included some amplified springs/ropes & also some hand clappers!! Nels had this really cool kazoo type thing that he played over the pickups of his guitar to amplify the sound, and played his guitar by tappi

Great show/setlist. Band was in top form, and Jeff was pretty talkative which was good to see! Nels double neck guitar is possibly the ugliest guitar i've ever seen though..!!! Highlights: Nels shredding it up on Impossible Germany, and at least thats what you said - was pretty close to perfect. Also.. I love the no photography policy! First gig i've been to in ages that wasn't full of people holding up iphones. Enjoy the second show tonight for those lucky enough!

I wouldn't mind a copy. Pity its not the full set though but beggars can't be choosers I guess. Whats the quality like?
-
Thank you!
-
HA! i'll look out for the moose.. Thanks for the rough times, looks like i might need to make a mad dash down swanston st to catch the start.
-
Has anyone got any idea what the set times are for tonights show? I have a jazz festival show before hand and am trying to work out when i'll need to leave. And whats the merchandise like for this tour? Wilco always seem to have cool posters, but crappy (love police...) tshirts. Is it much of the same?
-
What time did Wilco take the stage at these Sydney gigs?
-
So if I order through Insound I get the records for $67.97, and shipping for $15. total $82.97. not really much incentive to purchase through the Wilco store...
-
So it costs $55USD for the bundle and $55.72USD for the cheapest shipping option to Australia... How can shipping be more expensive then the actual records???
-
a good place to look for the smaller A3 size posters is level 3 at melbourne central, just outside the village cinema. they always have up to date concert posters on the pillars/walls. edit: also try souvalaki king on brunswick st. the walls there are literally full of posters.
