  1. I have to think that Hendrix is a given, so this will be my top 5 not named Jimi Hendrix:

    Robert Quine

    Richard Lloyd

    Brian May

    Ira Kaplan

    Richard Thompson

    Others I love:

Elliott Easton (The Cars), Chris Difford (Squeeze), Tom Verlaine

Also, please note that these are my top 5 FAVORITES. It's a subjective thing and not open to argument.

Kinda Punky huh... Havent heard of most of them

  2. Cinco de Mayo historically recognizes the Mexican army's defeat of the French army at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. At this battle, the French miliary was almost two-times the size of Mexican forces. The French army went undefeated for almost 50 years before this battle.

After the Battle of Puebla, the Americas were never invaded by another continent again.

  3. Ok, I know Jimi Hendrix will be on most list and most likely at the top. But what else you like. I tend to go for that bluesed out rock.

Here is my top 5 in somewhat of an order.

    1. Hendrix

    2. Jimmy Page

    3. Joe Perry

    4. Slash

    5. Angus Young

Also have to say I really like Billy Corgan and Tom Morello.

  4. I can see if I was watching the clip with friends, saying "hey, is that Donovan McNabb?" could draw a few laughs. The problem is probably in broadcasting, you can't be subtle, so he had to be all "hey! run that clip again!" rather than just tossing it in there casually.

I think so too. It had to be a joke gone bad. Those other guys just treated him like an idiot making the joke bomb even more.

  5. In terms of reputation, and probably quality, it's Cadillac > Buick > Chevrolet > Pontiac.

I think Oldsmobile was to one side or the other of Chevy in that line.

With Chrysler it was Chrysler > Dodge > Plymouth, and guess who's no longer around from that bunch...

    Jeep isnt Chrysler anymore?

  6. Ive read a lot of mixed reviews of Phoenix. The Reader recommended another place, that seems to be a little less traditional (no carts) but has better service/food. Although Phoenix was the "readers choice"

I do definitely want Dim Sum though, as the last(first) time I had it was visiting in New York, and it was one of the most memorable things we experienced.

    Any other suggestions?

Is there a Wilco tour like Athens has a REM tour?

    Just curious.

PS - sorry this is in the wrong forum..

I've only been to Pheonix for Dim Sum so I cant really say. All the food is very good. The cart pushers dont really speak much English so the service wont be the best but nothing to complain about. I go there all the time and am never disappointed and I drive all the way in from the NW burbs. If the other place is at the same level, you cant go wrong either place you pick. Definitely make it there.

Then afterwards you can get fruit drinks walking along the strip along with some stuffed buns at the bakery for a snack later. Then go to one of the kitchy tourist shops and pickup a buddah and some nuchuks. There is actually a cool modern art store called Hoypoloi that doesnt really seem to fit in that you should check out. Its right on the main strip. www.hoypoloi.com

Thats Chinatown. There is so many more neighborhoods to check out.
