listening to the 09.02.02 show reminds me that i miss kamera.

someone thinks so. the belcourt show was packed. it will be interesting to see how full it actually is.
-
she played the belcourt last time. i wish she were again as the cannery's acoustics have issues imo.

ok. the results are in. not as much love for scissor sisters as i would have thought. but i am going to check out small sins. thanks for bringing me to my senses. i was trying to convince myself to go to the show i have not seen before. instead, i will go see jenny lewis again and pretend she is not dating a member of her band. thanks.

Same night. same time. I cannot decide which concert to attend. Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, the Cannery. not a great venue, but ok. i went last time this tour was in town and loved it. i also have a crush on jenny fwiw. vs. Scissor Sisters, City Hall. better venue. I have never seen them live or heard the new cd. i did like the last one a fair bit but rarely listen to it much anymore. insight on SS or their new album would be particularly helpful.

they published the work. makes little difference that it was not in the form of a record.
-
maybe a little.

the cubs have spent the money lately, but for the longest time, they would not even do that. (i.e. getting dawson because he gave them a signed contract with a blank for his salary) although looking back at last offseason, it now seems stupid to have paid $26 million for two middle relievers. if Wood and Prior are healthy next year, however, the sky is the limit.
-
i bet girardi never had a set of dugout dice created for him. surely he could get the cubs to play fundamental baseball? someone who could get the cubs to win probably does not exist.
-
i hope girardi decides he would rather manage next year than wait for the yankees job. the cubs sure do need him.

i am sorry for your loss. my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Chris

agreed. that was one of my favorites as well.

you can always file a lawsuit. you may be right, but my understanding was that Grimsley's unredacted affidavit was the source of the story, which may provide a good faith basis for a suit for slander or libel or whatever. if i were innocent, i would do it for p.r. reasons as much as anything. if grimsley will not confirm the affidavit under oath, you could always dismiss. lawsuit is probably a waste of time, but after all the bullshit denials, there are not that many options for the truly innocent. which i am sure clemmens and his 47 year old killer splitter is.
-
no. neither is tejada's declaration that "I know I'm clean." or not dignifying the question with a response. if someone would just claim utter bullshit and file suit against grimsley, it would be a little convincing.

i am defintely not pulling for the mets but find myself rooting for el duque in game one. i cannot explain why, i just love him. and cabrera for me. his potential is sick.

Favorite and least favorite Wilco songs by album
rareair replied to yankhotelfox's topic in Just A Fan
AM: Passenger Side / That's Not the Issue BT: Misunderstood / Monday MAI: One by One / Eisler on the Go ST: Pieholden Suite / Candyfloss MA2: Remember the Mountainbed / Joe Dimaggio YHF: Kamera (09.02.02 show recently downloaded reminded me how much i miss hearing this song) / Heavy Metal Drummer AGIB: ALTWYS / I'm a Wheel KT: Via Chicago / Comment New Songs: Walken / On & On & On (now it will likely be the most kick ass song in the wilco recorded canon) -
i loved their nashville show and thought they sounded great. the david allen coe cover however was not right on many levels. in short, it hurt my ears.
-
i got a copy at some "secret" midnight show in august when the band was warming up for this tour. the new album is awesome and sounds great live.
-
agreed. i had a blast. and, yes, you really need to get this album.
-
The show was at the Old Town Folk Music Hall (I think that is the name) around the end of May, and he played with his dad. great show and loved the venue. He played several songs off his new album, which I believe was recorded in one day. i cannot quit listening to it.
-
i can think of worse ways to blow $20. i have only seen DBT once but loved it, and they are supposed to usually kick ass live. bbj's new album is really good imo. saw him play both in chicago with louieb and in nashville warming up for this tour, and thought he sounded great. if the venue is a good one, i would go.

i really do like this song.
