  1. Chrome seems incredibly fast as well. I usually keep gmail open in it, but other than that I've stuck to firefox. Between mouse gestures, foxmarks, adblock, and the other extensions I have, plus the way I have the address/menu bars setup I just can't part with the usability of firefox. I really like the speed of opera, and it's speed-dial function was ripped off by chrome imo, but again i've gotten used to the way I have my firefox. With that said, Chrome could easily convert people who are used to internet explorer, or only used firefox because a friend/relative got sick of fixing thei
  2. Definitely. The crammed wrapping up the Skinner's and even Ramon's story lines. In the first two seasons a villain as large as any of them would never have been killed that easily or cleanly. I'm very interested to see what starts to happen when Deb starts digging into her fathers past and finds out more information on Dexter. I think that's definitely going to be the major plot of next season. I know they're signed for a fifth as well, but we'll have to see what happens after that. At least the writers understand they can't just have Dexter kill someone every episode. The character
  3. I hear ya. My cousin went to Meth & Redman and said they had buy one get one wu tickets so gave me mine as a "coming back" present. It'll be good to be back at toads again. If you go let me know!
  4. I honestly was a little disappointed for the first time in the series.
  5. Yeah Avast or ClamWin should be fine for antivirus, and they're both free. Or you can try AVG, http://www.avg.com/, which is free as well. Some people think it's become a little bloated though.
  6. http://www.superantispyware.com/ will take care of it for you. Then do yourself a favor, download firefox and only use that. and don't try to listen to an mp3 that ends in exe.
  7. So I know I'm a relative lurker here but is anyone up to meet up for this? I'll be with my 18 year old brother on my way from New Mexico to Connecticut and staying in Chicago at least the 9th.
  8. If I heard Dobalina, Clint Eastwood, then all of Deltron 3030, I'd be in heaven. I'd love to hear that album live. But, I'd demand he not play anything from I Wish my Brother George Was Here or the 11th hour, or anything else for that matter. I could do with some of the Both Sides... songs.
  9. So what's the difference between an accused "terrorist from another country" and an accused american citizen that makes you think we deserve due process ourselves in America?
  10. Wait til you try cs4 they moved stuff around again!!! I was so pissed off too. I had my palettes exactly where i wanted them, but the stupid solid sidebar of palettes drives me insane. It's such a waste of space in an application where you need every inch of space you can get. Luckily for the most part I could just hide everything & use the keyboard shortcuts. It's the only thing that's made it bearable.
  11. Oh god how happy I am to have passed the learning curve on photoshop, lightroom, bridge etc. the first time you open those up is like walking up to the bottom of a thousand foot cliff and being expected to just take a step up to the top off it. isadorah: have you tried thunderbird at all?
  12. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/...2747301033.aspx this is all I could find on it, but it appears that Microsoft thinks "stop attaching" means "help me attach" http://www.puppylinux.org/ I would try downloading this and burning it to a cd. It's a live linux cd so when you start up your computer it will boot from the cd and go into linux. Don't worry, nothing will happen to your hard drive or your windows installation. This will just help us see whether it's an operating system/software issue or a hardware issue.
  13. It's also how they do it in soap operas. I'm not really complaining. I guess I accept that this sort of thing is possible in the Heroes universe, and that allows me to still enjoy the show. Honestly, the fact that the characters switch sides so easily irritates me more than the whole coming back from the dead thing. It makes it seem like they lack the causes or moral stances that comic book heroes typically have and stick to.
  14. I always feared w/ some of the abilities that they'd get to a point where anyone can come "back" from the dead, and that's pretty much the case now. The one chance they had to actually "kill" someone Between that and the whole hero/villian switching 3 times in an episode the story line seems like they dumped marbles onto a plate and played connect the dots. Edit: I can't wait for Lost to come back either. For now my favorite show is definitely Dexter, and I've been enjoying Californication after it too.
  15. Yeah. I kinda think the only show i'm going to commit to ahead of time is the letters to santa show. Either that or I'll just tell him to get lost one night!
  16. I'm interested to see where it goes, but like EL said, it has been all over the place lately.
  17. My 18 year old brother is going to be in for an adventure; I've stolen him for the trip. I can't believe my mother is actually allowing me to take him across country with me!
  18. words cannot express the gratitude I have right now Dave. Thanks!
  19. Hey everyone, does anyone know if there's a site where you can watch heroes online live as it broadcasts? Or when exactly nbc will put the episode up? I really want to watch tonights episode but don't have cable at the moment
  20. Haha. I'd love to see Luda & Palin debate. Reminds me of a Sage Francis line "Presidential candidates can't debate over this instrumental. Let'em freestyle, winner takes all, when the music's dead I'll have Ted Nugent's head hanging on my wall."
  21. The only place to get tickets is at the door correct? I'll be getting into chicago the 9th from omaha on my way to connecticut and would love to see this show. Also LouieB had mentioned some people sleep in the back at Second City. Is that something I should count on, or should I have a plan b lined up?
  22. I tried checking those and didn't see much :-/ I may be getting a little older, but still have some energy left. On the road trip out here from CT I was fine seeing Iron & Wine after driving from Alabama to New Orleans!
  23. Awesome thanks for the tip. I'll definitely be doing that, I don't know how I even missed it! Do you know if it'd be cool to crash there both nights or what?
