  2. I literally gasped out loud when I saw the online news headline. My children asked me what was wrong. Sad day, indeed
  3. This weekend was a lot better than last weekend - less pain, less medication taken. I took three doses on Friday and only had to take one dose yesterday (both Friday and Saturday were double shifts) and today. Michelle - hope the pain is residing some for you.
  4. Pretty sure this is not only the wrong thread but the wrong area altogether...eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww
  5. Ummm...I was NOT "put under" for the procedure. And, yes, it was painful but more from the pressure of everything than anything else.
  6. Had a nice one last night... I was in an airport, a very quiet one. I was watching one of the TV's and all of sudden I saw Wilco doing a spontaneous appearance in the middle of Chicago (a la U2 on the rooftop). So I turned to the guy next to me to ask him if he could turn it up (he apparently had the remote) and it turned out to be Jeff himself! I remember trying to keep calm like it was no big deal but inside I was DYING! We ended up just hanging out on the floor in some corner talking all night. Apparently, both of our flights were extremely delayed. Another fan or two tried to come up t
  7. Oh sorry I thought you were saying A fresh pond not THE Fresh Pond...sorry!
  8. So, I did have to continue to take vicodin w/ the ibuprofen throughout the weekend during work. However... NOT A SINGLE pill taken since 3p Sunday (end of my last shift)!!! And I will be trying the Neurotin this weekend coming to see if I can take less of that than the vicodin. Michelle - I hope it works out for you as well!!!
  9. I'm pretty sure the pond sweetheart speaks of is Jamaica Pond over in the fancier area of Jamaica Plain. One of my friends who lives in JP is ALWAYS going on about how beautiful the Pond is. Then, of course, so is the Charles River. In Cambridge, a couple of great small venues to go to are The Paradise Club right on Commonwealth Ave and TT the Bear's Place in Cambridge. I've been to both quite a few times. Paradise is like a big club. TT is really, really small but GREAT!!! I got to see (and meet) Robbie Fulks there twice. Sweetheart definitely gave you a wealth of information here! Ar
  10. Well first of all, I need to ask...Boston proper or suburb of? If suburb, which one? And congratulations! Which school?
  11. Both my friend and her fiance work in the tourist industry there so I'm sure they'll have at least ONE trip set up for us through there I had to do the same.
  12. Yes, there will be. They are actually going to plan a week full of specific activities to make it worth all of us going out there. Just about everyone is coming from the East Coast. I will keep it in mind
  13. I'm SOOO excited! I've never actually been IN a wedding besides my own! My best friend (a transplant from Long Island by way of Ohio) has settled with her true love in the entrance of Yellowstone! She asked me last night and I found a dress by 3am even tho I don't need it until August of 2009!!! I know, I know...just TOO excited!!! So I was wondering if any of you lovely folks or people you know have ever stayed in Gardiner, Montana. There are a TON of places to stay as tourism is their way of life. I may or may not bring the girls, not sure yet. So any experiences, thoughts or advice
  14. MOST DEFINITELY!!! I love ALL three of those songs more than I could ever express. I have Kermit singing on my MySpace! A perfect combination, I'd say. And as Loretta said, I'd be crying even if I didn't know the departed.
  15. My oldest daughter saw that 'Remember the Titans' was on last night and she said "Momma, you HAVE TO watch this! It's SO good!" Apparently, they watched it in the last week or so of school this year. So I watched part of it with the girls (9 & 12) and asked them if they understood what was going on and the message here. They seemed to grasp it. I was quite proud. I watched the last hour or so by myself as it was on quite late. I was definitely choked up. I believe if I watched the whole thing...tears would've followed.
  16. As I'm not a big basketball fan, I had to google this guy. I kind of see WHY your family thinks this but "Hey Wayne!" for the record...I TOTALLY disagree!!! Plus, Pau is not the least bit attractive imo. Ask Ashley, I'm sure she'll confirm this Oh and I googled both scruffy and not scruffy pics.
  17. Something like that once fees and stuff were added. I think they debited like $78 or something from my account. EDIT: For two tickets, I mean.
  18. I just saw the lovely Ryan Gosling stars in this...will make it a must see
