  1. Get. The. Fuck Out. That hits really hard. Salon.com had a great interview with him back in February - here it is: http://www.salon.com/ent/tv/int/2008/02/28/carlin/index.html One of his best bits ever - Carlin on religion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpA47o8E46U
  2. "Better a cruel truth than a comfortable delusion." "A knowledge of the true age of the earth and of the fossil record makes it impossible for any balanced intellect to believe in the literal truth of every part of the Bible in the way that fundamentalists do. And if some of the Bible is manifestly wrong, why should any of the rest of it be accepted automatically?" Both quotes attributed to Edward - yeah, he is a hero of mine.

I try not to think about what would happen in the event of an accident. Pease International Airport is located to our north, in Portsmouth, NH. Our home is sort of in a flight path. I can tell you that the days following 9/11 were tense ones
  6. Reverend, as a nonbeliever, is there a place for me in Heaven
  7. He certainly is..... This one cracked me up, a debate between a member of Americans United for Separation of Church and State and a member of The Family Research Council. And what the hell, I'll throw a little Dawkins in as well...
  8. That's a pretty huge find right there - wow. Thanks for the link
  9. Magnum Photos hosted an amazing photo essay by photojournalist Paul Fusco. It is as sad and tragic as it is fascinating - pretty powerful stuff. Here
  10. With all due respect, where did you come by this information?
