In other words, please look at my family finances find out all kinds of crazy shit.  Most of my supporters won't believe, I will still be president.  

This is like some sort weird Shia LeBeouf performance thing just to see how much shit he can get away with.  My guess is he can get away with everything.  

To be fair, I bet many of these people don't follow political news and probably didn't know that junior actually admitted to the meeting. It certainly sounds implausible on the surface.

 

That said, we're still fucked.

With that being said, if I don't know something I am not gonna lie and say I do.  They are just willfully being stupid and letting their lack of knowledge inform their world view.  I would much rather have an informed someone be wrong and think they are right then an uninformed someone be wrong and think they are right.

This is why I think it is a waste of time for the Democratic party try to go over Trump supporters.  There is no changing their minds.  Go after those that did not vote, or voted third party and a slim part of Independents that may listen.  We are not gonna change the minds of those West Virginia coal miners no matter how many facts are presented.       

Right now it was just the three mentioned talking by themselves for about an hour at the state dinner. Out of earshot of everyone else, but they were in eyesight.

And there is the rub.  It can be spun two ways.  One side it looks like secret meeting on the other it is just a state dinner.  

If there is one thing I have learned in the two years since Trump descended down the escalator is that every single person has underestimated him.  They said he could never win and he did.  Now everyone says he is going to get caught in this Russia thing.  I don't see it happening.  The President has successfully manipulated his followers and the GOP to ignore or brush off any type of criticism or critical look at the administration, that nothing will be done.  It will come a point when we will probably have tapes of Trump straight up telling Putin to hack Clinton in a secret meeting and nothing will come of it.

I saw an interesting poll the other day where 45% of Republicans did not believe that Trump jr. met with the Russians.  The question wasn't about collusion, no it was the fact that Junior sat down and met with the Russians. 45% of Republicans believe that was made up.  A fact that not one person in the administration, including Junior himself denies.  You simply cannot reason with people who flat out ignore facts.  Fuck.  

What I find extremely amusing in this whole repeal/replace nonsense is the utter failure of the Administration and the GOP.  If there is one thing that the Donald Trump brand was suppose to be and mean was the fact that he was this great deal maker.  With full control of the both houses and the Presidency this should have been easy to do for someone of his grand deal making skills.  

But of course the failure is all of the media's fault.  

Well it appears the senate health bill is dead and we didn't even need McCain to have a life threatening emergency.

now they are gonna straight up repeal ACA, without a replacement plan.  So we got that going for us.  

I figure. I have never watched Broadchurch.

Broadchurch is great television. David Tennent and Oliva Coleman are fantastic. The second season is so so, the third is great.

The Facebook and Twitter accounts for The Replacements have suddenly come back to life with a couple posts over the last few days. Both are pictures from a 1986 live show. Was hoping to see that same trade but, for Verlander instead of Quintana, but his price tag is way too high, and he's a lot older than Quintana. 

 

Cubs gave up a lot, but I love when teams say "fuck it, let's win now."

Also this move is a let's win now and in the future, move.  I think overall it is a very smart baseball move by Theo and Co.  Hopefully when Henricks is healthy it sets the rotation as Arrieta, Lester, Quintana, Henricks, Montgomery/Butler/Lackey.  Oh I want some trade to make Lackey go away.  That guy drives me nuts.   

Nice Cubs/White Sox trade today. Glad to happen to catch Quintana's last game pitching at Sox Park - he definitely pitch better than he did earlier season, but he still got a no decision. This trade should help both teams.

The youth of the team that is currently on the field I think mortgage is a strong word (as your quote pointed out).  They gave away some pieces for sure, but it is not like all they have in their farm system is guys like me.  

Honestly, to have Quintana under control through 2020 I think is great.  

I have said it before this Russia thing will not bring down the President. The GOP simply does not care enough to do anything about it. It is Party over country.

Classic! Once they get something in their heads it's there forever. This whole mess about this poor baby in the UK is an example. The kid is terminal and comments on the right news pages all talk about saving his life. They are misinformed about everything and angry about everything. There is not talking any sense into them.

I found it funny POTUS tweeting about Charlie Guard, but he has no regard for the millions of his citizens who will die because of his parties awful Healthcare bill. And really if you think POTUS gives two fucks about this boy you are an idiot and so easily fooled I feel sorry for you.

Yesterday while driving back home from northern WI, I saw a moron with WI plates flying confederate and American flags from the back of his pickup. I've seen people flying those traitorous flags in Virginia but never in my 40+ years of going to northern WI. Do I blame 45? You betcha!

Let's be honest here, the President will weather the Comey hearing. No matter what he says it will be spun and people will argue, but no Impeachment, censure, etc will happen.

I have said this before, unfortunately the only way this guy gets removed is if a lot of people are hurt/die or lose a significant amount of money.

I absolutely loved Ron Santo.  And there is no comparision between Hawk and Ronnie.  The difference between Hawk and Santo is that Hawk is all stick.  He is nothing more than a few annoying catch phrases and really stupid takes on baseball.  Hawk never played for the White Sox and was only ever part of the team as GM (and by all accounts a shitty GM) after doing TV for them for a few years.  Everything he did in the booth was more of a look a me and came off as hokey and fake.  And even a great color man like Steve Stone couldn't bring the Sox games to a watchable state.  

Now, on why I love Ronnie.  He was never a great broadcaster, but his love for the Cubs was genuine.  He played for them all but one of his 14 years.  He really embodied the spirit of the Cubs.  He was one of the ultimate players turned into a fan.  He never resorted to catch phrases or stick.  And his chemistry with Pat Hughes (I think the best play by play man working today BTW) is undeniable.  At time when the Cubs were at their worst, Ronnie's passion and love for the team always shinned through.  No matter how bad or good they were, this was going to be the year they won it all.  It is shame that he did not live to see it.  

One of my favorite stories about Ron Santo I think really expresses my.  I do feelings about him.  Now, I don't remember what year it was but it was back when Kerry Wood pitching.  Wood was either on the DL at the time or hurt and not playing (which seemed to be 95% of his time in the Bigs).  Anyway it was an extra inning game and the bull pens were getting depleted.  Then all of a sudden Ron gets really excited and exclaims, "Kerry Wood! Wood is warming up!" And then Pat Hughes turns to him and flatly says, "Ronnie, that is LaTroy Hawkins."  It is just too perfect for words.    

I should write the FCC...

 

Was watching the Tigers v Sox on Saturday afternoon. First Sox batter slid into first to beat a close throw and Hawk Harrelson yelled GOD DAMMIT. He's losing it. 

Well Sox Fans only have to suffer another year with this moron.  

I am all for homer broadcasters, especially in baseball (though David Ross during last night's Cubs game was pretty horrible), but Hawk is a jibbering pile of garbage.

I have said this all along, the only way Republicans will do anything against the President is if a major catastrophic event happens because of his actions.  A lot of people will probably have to die or be seriously hurt.  In a relative quick fashion because we all know if it is slow (aka Healthcare) they don't give a fuck.
