Johnny Cash himself wanted Phoenix to play him in the movie, I think that might have helped him get the role. I like the Almost Famous guy for Jeff and PSH for Jay, others are toss ups.

It was only my 2nd Wilco show but definitely way better than my last...probably because I was in the 2nd row right between Nels and Jeff! I never thought I would be that close to them, it was surreal. I loved to see John take the lead for a song, he sounded so good and I give him best dressed award. It was awesome being so close to Nels, he is an animal. Pat was hilarious and Glenn was his usual rockin' sweaty self. It was cool to see where all the sounds come from on the records too. I've seen several shows in the Main Lounge. It is not that great of place and you never know what to expect from the crowd. I recommend getting there early if you want to be close. But Iowa City is a great place. Downtown is really close - basically bars, bars and more bars.

I'll join the band wagon on lovers of this book...would love to see a volume 2. And I thought it was pretty sweet to see how he mentioned Wilco and Bragg after he trenched through muddy cornfields or whatever it was to get those lyrics with nothing.

A lot of awesome people are actually coming to Iowa City all at once. Wilco is of course a given, but Ryan Adams and Bright Eyes are on the list and I have to choose one also. I'm choosing Ryan because I have never seen him and saw Bright Eyes and wasn't too impressed with his live performance, but I still think he is brilliant and I love his albums. I think Ryan can give me a better show.

Why isn't this on youtube? I'm disapointed in Wilco fans (j/k since I didn't even stay up to watch it)

Ethan Hawke loves Jeff! How do you think Jeff got the Chelsey Walls gig? And in a recent entertainment weekly, he claimed Sky Blue Sky was a must to have citing the line "Maybe the sun will shine today..." - He's happy, I'm happy.

HAIRSPRAY!!! Just saw it and it was great! Also, this summer I have enjoyed Knocked Up, Spidey 3 and looking forward to the next Bourne movie soon after just watching the first two.

I have considered them my fav for about 2 yrs and don't see that changing anytime soon.

I find Fat Tire to be overrated. It's good, but definitely not in my top 10 favorite beers.
