  1. I spoke to Pat after the Autumn Defence show in Cardiff. He was hoping to come back sometime to the UK in 2009. Nothing set in stone though.
  2. Isn't it just outtakes from the DVD?
  3. Can anybody recommend cheap flights from the UK for these Spain dates?
  4. Thanks gents! Think I'll give the first two a go. Sure I've been given a copy of Woman King before so will have to dig it out!
  5. I recently heard a song of theirs and thought it was beautiful (don't know the title sorry!). Can anybody recommend any of their albums to me please? Thanks PS another reason to ask is because they are playing here soon: http://www.thegreenmanfestival.co.uk/ I wish Jeff & co would play one year!
  6. Hmmm, if no new shows in the UK anybody know of any cheap flights to Mallorca?!
  7. Great song, nice cover but Christy Moore's (Irish singer/songwriter) version is MUCH better. Here's a link to one of Christy's songs: (couldn't find a version of So Much Wine sorry!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7RsRvvtz7U
  8. Who cares why, as long as they turn up this time. Wilco are worth it!
  9. Does anybody have the live version of this who would be kind enough to post it? Thanks!
  10. Where can I get the KT version of Monday?? It's not on the version I have!!??!! Could someone post an mp3 or equivalent? Thanks!
  11. Being a Andrew Bird newbie which album do you recommend I buy first??
  12. Ah sorry, my mistake. Can I skip the Billy Brag tunes on Mermaid Avenue though?
  13. Thanks for the tips David! I have to say though both albums were growers on me but hopefully it will do the trick (along with some wine of course!!)
  14. Thanks for the reply. Where would you replace Cars Can't Escape with?
  15. I'm sure Uncut magazine has YHF, AGIB and SBS very highly listed. Try www.uncut.co.uk
  16. Hey y'all, First of all thanks to Wilco for being the best band in the world. Period. Gutted we missed out on the last tour in the UK, but I'm sure our time will come again. Also, thanks for all those of you who have been torrenting the live shows - you are fabulous people!! This kind of topic has probably been started many time before but I'd like some of your expert opinions! Met a stunning girl last night who's into a lot of the same kinda music as I am but did not know about Wilco! The shame of it! Well I plan to educate her with a compilation cd and wheel her in at the same t
  17. Better than Wilco? Man that's a big call. I got into RF before Wilco due to Uncut magazine. Had YHF and AAGIB for a while and thought they were ok. Saw the DVD docus, bought the back catalogue andf listened to the living room show and then I was HOOKED to Wilco. Saw RF live at the Greenman this year and they dissapointed me. I have seen them many a time before and they were great. Perhaps they don't like festivals? PS my fave album is Post to Wire.
  18. Believe it or not but Beirut are playing the Point! Supported by Cate Le Bon (up and coming Welsh Female Acoustic Artist) and Rich James (ex-Gorkys). Might have to drag myself down there methinks!
  19. Yeah I'll be around for Swn. Huw Stephens brainchild (loosely based on SXSW I might guess). Heard the name Beirut but not seen them. Worth checking out? Iron & Wine are at the Point tomorrow. I would like to see them but after going out the last 5 nights I don't think my body can handle it!!
  20. Another artist I'd like to mention is Christy Moore. Class.
  21. How about Wilco at the Point in Cardiff? A very intimate max 250 capacity venue. Saw the Hold Steady there earlier this year and they ROCKED!!
  22. You'll love the Furries, I saw them on Monday for the zillionth time. Bunford used to be my art teacher in school! I am also gutted about the Wilco show. They better play twice as long next time!
