I was wondering if there is really any way to do ticket sales these days without scalpers winning? I was thinking back to when the Dead did mail order for tickets. one of the biggest let downs of my life was sending a personal check from my mom for tickets to the premiere of Blues for Allah at the Capitol theater (tickets were printed on silver foil), I got a letter back saying sorry, money orders only and my best friend got seats! Oh well. Henry

Thanks, I boxed boxed out of the presale, clicked several hundred times, once in awhile it seemed like it was going to load a pair, but never happened. so, if anyone has extra tickets for any of the LA shows I would love the opportunity to buy them. Thanks, Henry

I was at a toddler class today and this boy had on what sure as heck looks like a wilco shirt. I stared and stared and asked his mom who said it was a gift from a friend that she got over seas and it is in Farsi and cant remember what it says? Can that be true? I was lucky enough to be in the pit and thought the new material was great. It was the happiest I Have ever seen Jeff in the LA area, he smiled almost the whole night (sort of). what a ride? After gathering all the info I could find to make sure I was ready to pull the trigger I get to a coffee shop with just enough time before I have to go to work. My laptop refuses to boot I call a friend and ask him to drop off his laptop (it is now 9:45 am PST) His laptop refuses to boot I revert to my iphone being the only source for attempting to get tickets, I log in, I get sent to the presale I select 4 seats in GA and the wheel spins for about twn minutes. Meanwhile my ace in the hole who was also trying to get tickets texts me and says he has 2 in GA for me. Th

Anyone have an idea on how i can obtain tickets during the presale for the LA Greek show that go onsale this wednesday? I will be at work and not sure if i can even get to my phone at 10am, i have also had only bad experiences with presales for any show, particularly Los Angeles. I tried to get tickets this morning at the presale, seems it was like most other presales. There was one moment I had a ticket in my cart, but then I tried to get another one and the first one disappeared. Boo hoo. I worked on a TV show called Bad Teacher based on the Cameron Diaz movie. There is no scheduled air date as of yet, but wanted to post in advance that in Episode 4 there are a number of Wilco jokes. It seemed asn odd choice, but none the less, some are pretty funny and as the DP was one of the cameramen on the "I am trying to break your heart" documentary and I am a die hard fan, it was very fub to see Wilco used in this way. I will keep you posted about air dates, but just remember you heard it heere first! Henry

Good news, the people at Largo are responsible. I sent them a letter with my expereinces and they called me up and sold me two tickets over the phone for the show I wanted, with a smail and an apology on their face. Good luck! H

My wife went by LaughStub and they said they had no control over the fact that it was a ticketing fiasco, that there site crashed and Largo is responsible for ticketing issues. Largo is very illusive to reach with only a voice mail for contact purposes, I highly recommend everyone call them and complain as it is really not fair what happened and they are the responsible party. I did my homework I had everything ready I logged in at 10:00 I put two in the basket it went to the payment page and I told my wife, "we got 'em" Then spent the next 30 minutes trying to reload, different browsers, different computers, calling my friends, etc. No one I know got tickets and I made screen shots of the fact that I had them in my "cart"!!!! Its one thing to miss out on say Bruce Springsteen at the LA Forum, but when you ready feel you've done everything right for a solo Tweedy show in your home town and then it is "sold out", well, that pretty frustrating. Strange but true. I was one of the winners of the 2008 photo contest, but the first show I was able to see was last week at the Hollywood Bowl. Since the contest ended the website been redone and the contact person I had at Wilco have all changed. I was able to get tickets to the show from HQ, but I would also like to pick up a show poster as that was one of the offerrings. As I remember it was 2 tickets, a show poster and a tee shirt. They will send me a poster, but it would help if I had some sort of documentation that this was indeed part of the prize. I looked through a lot o

I was so amazed and encouresged to read the issue of cheating being discovered. When I submitted my photo I was immidiately discouraged as I saw many photos surging to the top of votes and just forgot abou tthe whole thing as it seemed to be only a matter of who could "gather" the most votes by hook or by crook. Then the wife textds me the other day to say I better check in with the results because I cam ein third place, wow, that was a shock. I literally stopped looking. Thansk to HQ for figuring that one out!
