Ahem. Allison, if Ted and I aren't doing anything that day we might hit up the Nels show. Think you can handle a night of Makers and Ted? I'm having LRS party flashbacks to the last time I mixed Ted and VC. -

I like tequila but encourage bourbon, especially since I have a Kentucky puppy (NAPE NAPE NAPE!! Jack is from Kentucky!) -

I flew on American's inspection-evading MD-80s to/from the STL show last weekend. So really, not a whole lot better. -

Every time someone calls him that, I think he's sprung from the loins of Alton Brown. Coddammit, Robin!! -

I missed this particular incarnation of the joke, but was on the receiving end (NAPE) of it from Rob's brother. That is a GREAT response. -

It was more like Meat would put his arm around Brad and they'd jump and air guitar together, and I got caught in the arm hold. My neck is really sore. -
I've long felt the Lost universe spiraled too big to wrap up, but I definitely think having a set amount of episodes left helps keep the writing on track: they're writing to an endpoint in a finite amount of time rather than shuffling mysteries to the fore- and backgrounds in hopes of dragging out viewership for an open-ended number of seasons. Since the annoucement of three remaining 16-episode seasons last year (which was bobbled by the writers strike but when all is said and done will still be 48 episodes total,) the show has picked up the pace and gotten back on track from the mid-third

I'm gonna miss you.

He told me the drunk guy behind me (who at the end of the night stole the tip money we left for the waitress) was "grinding up on me" and he was like "Oh no you don't, that's Brad's woman!" but then I whacked the guy with my hair while dancing and he moved. Btw, Brad danced with him. I know because I got caught between them. -
When Tony Bourdain did No Reservations in Korea, he ate live chopped baby octopus. No marinade or anything, just literally toss an octopus on a board, chop, and serve. The pieces were all wriggling around, and the suckers clung to his mouth and throat as he ate them.

She heard from and the dog-whistler attempted to defend her behavior as a "like you've never done this" thing! -

Ahhh, I knew it was something not-sauerkraut. And have you seen Tam's facebook pic? Something tells me she's got some perms in her past. For sure!! -
I hear Lyric got a bunch of awesome stuff from her auntie! I ALSO heard, regarding the pony she's getting, that if Big Brown wins the triple crown, he will be her pony. Very affordable!

The tapers will (before I finish this sentence -- don't rush them, just an fyi, they do great work so the rest of us can have the recordings) anyway, the tapers will eventually release their torrents, which you can find links to in the In A Future Age section. If you're not familiar with how to torrent, there is good info in the pinned section of that forum. PS, Kingpin is my absolute hands-down favorite live Wilco song -- I'm the curly redhead twentysomething always going nuts as soon as I see the telltale Kingpin guitars come on stage. So nice name! -

No, I actually went early and flew on standby, so after being denied a seat on two full flights I got out on one that was 4.5 hours earlier than what I was supposed to be on. I forgot you were roadtripping back! I know just the event, too! Great Lakes Brew Fest or I think Robin has a lead on a festival in Indiana... what was it, a sauerkraut one? Anyway, it takes place beneath the beautiful pollution-billowing towers of northwest Indiana.
