  1. Starting to think this show wasn't recorded, or at least if it was it's not going to get released publicly. Bummer. The sound in Strathmore Hall was incredible (at least from where I was sitting) and it would have made one heck of a good audience recording.
  2. I've only listened to the record once, but first impressions on hearing "Highly Suspicious" were as follows: 1) you've got to be crappin' me. 2) I wonder if their fans are so die-hard that they'll cheer for this if they dare play it live. Atrocious. UNLESS: it's a joke that's only on the advance copies -- in which case I'll hail it as genius.
  3. Go here: http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=513701 Soundboard, no less.
  4. Umm, no. That's why it was so disappointing. What an absolute phone-it-in, no hook, lame-lyric, boring-a$$ piece of dung. Especially compared to their last one (Welcome Interstate Managers), which was a solid A in my rock grade-book. A shame.
  5. Sorry if this has been covered before... Is the Riv a seated venue or GA? Thanks.
  6. 9:30 Club show was webcast on NPR. Steaming archive is up now: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=15333436 Great great show. Kurt Dahle is the man.
  7. Well, everyone seems to want these PM thingees. I guess I do too then!
  8. 40 mins into the show now... has there been any banter, or even a "hello" or "thanks" from Jeff? Strange...
  9. here's a live mp3 of mmj's cover of "it makes no difference" (w/ vedder). This is a must-download, kids. Pretty much perfect.
  10. The Smoking Popes do a nice version of it on their underrated "Destination Failure" album. What a great record. --Ike
