Manager of the year is clearly Papelbon.
-
Is that the Greatest American Hero?

I think I prefer "Say it Isn't So" but "Your Love" is pretty boss too. My opinion might be different, however, if I had MTV when this album came out and/or listened to the radio then.

I've only listened once all the way through. My thoughts... Track one reminds me of an Alkaline Trio song (one of Dan's from Good Mourning) The opening guitar riff in track 2 sounds like "Jessie's Girl" One of the songs near the end kinda has a Descendent's vibe, maybe. As a whole, I like this album a lot. Not as much as Tennessee, but a lot. P.S. Oh, and I did the pre-order option that gets me a special t-shirt. Yay.

We're like peas and carrots, only gayer.

I prefer Paradise Theater.

When you told me that story it was oral, Nipsey Russell, and the lavatory on a Greyhound bus.

Papelbon.

The degree by which you are wrong on this is staggering.

Please do that thing where you post stats and stuff.

If the season ended today, Papelbon should be the AL MVP.

FYAH, ISSSS...

It was the "Theme From Armageddon" thing that tipped you off, wasn't it?
-
If you get the Harlem Square Club thing, don't get the reissued and remastered version. Whoever did that edited out most of the crowd noise that makes the original so great.

"Bring It On Home To Me", Live from the Harlem Square Club.

How much does being able to see my mule factor into that equation? On second thought, don't answer that.

I'm not sure what these two Steely Dan dudes are so upset about (admittedly, I didn't read the article). Hollywood has always had a habit of naming films after popular songs: She's the One (Ramones) Can't Hardly Wait (Replacements) Theme from Armageddon (Aerosmith) The list goes on and on. I would think they would just accept this as a flattering cross pollination of the arts.
