Salmon, lightly coated with olive oil and garlic powder, grilled. Served with white rice and corn on the cob. Bomb pops for dessert. (Last night was an impressive meal of spinach ravioli with a pesto sauce, and cheesy garlic bread, all made by Mrs. ction)

I think at this point I can declare the sandwich a-ok.

I'm reading it now for the second time (the first time is when it came out). I like it. As far as Kot's talent as an author, I have no idea. I do know that I've read some truly horrible books about rock music (a Gina Arnold book about punk rock might possibly be the most awful thing I've ever tried to read), and this is certainly not one of them.

I just really needed to read Family Circus.
-
The sandwich was great, and I still haven't eaten the cookies yet.
-
I'm about to tackle the sandwich. I'll report back in an hour.

What do you say you and me buy this place?
-
Hold on, I'm going to get my wife on-line to admonish you.

You sure seem to spend a lot of time here for someone who hates it or something. I'm thinking about eating my Nutter Butter peanut shaped cookies before lunch...is that wrong?

I love the internet.

SS - Please substitute a high chair for Paul Simonon's bass on the cover of London Calling. PLEASE?

I should mention that I do not foul my sandwiches with condiments. And that I also packed 4 Nutter Butter peanut-shaped cookies.

I would imagine the "lame" referred to the owner acting like an idiot and the other customers applauding his/her idiotic behaviour. But that's just a guess.
-
A real punk also wouldn't own a mini-van. Me = not punk
-
Lamer than the fact that your kids can't walk on their own yet? I think not. Enabler...

"Country and Midwestern" is the new "alt-country".

It's a known fact that Hitler was pushed in a stroller until he turned 16.
-
We can barely keep our one year old in a stroller...I'd imagine sedatives and duct tape would be needed to get the 4 year old to stay in one. But there are enough situations I can picture in which someone might need to push their kid around (as opposed to carrying them) that I find it difficult to get worked up about it to the point that I'd consider it a pet peeve. P.S. I hope for your mom's sake that this siding with the Dude thing is an anomaly.

My Al is guest DJ-ing and playing on the radio

I think the only other time I made a request was 1985 when I requested that K-Rock in Hawaii play "Sultans of Swing". -

YAY! My bladder might have just burst, but I did not leave my chair. -
You don't have kids, do you?
