They're opening for Nick Cave. Read their bio over at AllMusic and they sound pretty cool. Anyone here seen them? What can we expect? Is it worth it to get there early to catch their set? Thanks for the info.

He's a great guitar player, to be sure. But the thin tone, combined with all those pick squeals in every other measure got real tiring.

Don't know that one. Describe?

I knew that I liked you.

You know, for The Greatest Rock Movie of All Time, it wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. Don't get me wrong, I liked it. It was good. But not the life-changing experience that I had hoped for. Maybe nothing could live up to that kind of hype. Still... Neil fucking Diamond?!?!?! And also, is there a reason that Robbie Robertson had to be in every damn shot? I know that he and Scorsese were buddies and all, but he coulda been a bit more judicious. I wanted to see a lot more Levon. And a lot more Garth -- who looked to be the most amusing guy in the film outside of Ronnie Hawkins.

WOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Also, Curt Kirkwood (Meat Puppets) did a great scream on their cover of "Good Golly miss molly". And, did anyone yet mention Trent Reznor ?

The end of this song? I actually have to second the Bob Mould and Kurt Cobain nods. It hurts to listen. But in a good way.

The new album is an all-acoustic return to her Appilacian/country roots. And the concert was just her, her husband, and her dad. Kasey herself was charming as hell! She talked as much as she sang, but that was just fine. It made for a very intimate setting where I, as an audience member, felt like I was sitting with her in her living room, hanging out with the family. A really fun night.

Glad that all went well, AWATT. My surgery story: I had brain surgery a couple of years ago. Coming out of the surgery, all drugged up, head in a plaster bandage, my first groggy words to the nurses were: "Do I look sexy for my wife?" They laughed.
