Did I post this before?
But I played live on TV with my band back in '05. PM me for the link.
Sorry if I already posted this, but I forget things. And nothing came up on a search.
Yeah, it's a download. Let me know if you like it or hate it or whatever.
I hope you like it, though.

Yeah, this one is gonna be a tough one. Unless you hate Dylan (which I know may be a few of you), how do you choose from among his 1960's and early 70's output?
It's pretty close for me, between Freewheeling, Blood On the Tracks, and Nashville Skyline, but in the end...
Nashville Skyline
wins out, just for the sheer fun of it. As brilliant as all those albums are, my choice is the only one that really makes me smile outright.

Brian Eno - Another Day on Earth
Bob Dylan - The Freewheeling Bob Dylan
Bee Gees early years compilation

I listened and I dug it.
Can't really comment on any specifics until I give it a few more spins, but I wanted you to know that there is at least one more person on here who checked it out. And appreciated it.

Yea, im not thrilled about the Aragon either. But I guess when you're talking about ear-splitting, feedback drenched music, does sound quality really even matter?
I think yes.
Moreso than lots of stuff. Think about the band. Despite the bombast, there are a lot of subtleties to the songs -- a lot of nuance.
But with the hellacious acoustics in that cavernous space, you most-likely won;t even know what freaking song they're playing at all!

DAMN! I love that record.
Gotta pick up the reissue sometime soon.
And hide it from the kids, who would probably love it and then run around singing "New York's Alright (If You Like Saxophones)" at school all day.

Shrimp Boat - Something Grand (disc 3)
Paul Simon - Surprise
Judas Priest - Best Of: Living After Midnight
Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come (OST)

Welcome. I hope that you are not too sensitive for the internet. (An inside joke. No offense meant. Thank you for the opportunity to use it! )
This place is Pleasantville compared to a lot of other music boards around the net.
And, welcome!

Because, as pointed out before, I should just keep all of these in a single thread so you can all ignore them in one place.
STEVE ISON: BritPop for fans of Martin Newell, Kinks, Robyn Hitchcock.
HUGH HAMILTON: One-man band for fans of Beatles, Kinks, Nick Lowe.
THE ALEXANDRIA KLEZTET: For fans of Klezmatics, Fiddler On the Roof, and Eastern European music, in general.
BOB ELLIOTT: Psychadelic pop music for fans of The Apples In Stereo, poppier side of The Jayhawks.
MINK: Glam rock/Power pop for fans of Foo Fighters, The Sweet, Jet.
INVISIBLE INC: Classic pop/rock with great harmonies for fans of The Byrds, Beach Boys, Everly Brothers.
More to come, no matter what you think.
And, if you do check any of these out, let me know what you think. It's good to help out the little guys.

Sent you a mail.
Thanks!

Something Louie mentioned in the Steve Earle thread got me thinking about the topic above. I think that I have 3 or 4 of those CD/DVD combos at home and I think that I've watched ONE of those DVDs exactly ONCE.
That said, I would still buy the DVD bonus version every time, especially since they ususally cost the same as the version without.
So... do any of you watch the DVDs? Regularly?

Jim Ford - The Sounds Of Our Time
Martin Newell - A Summer Tamarind
Paris - Guerrila Funk
Bob Elliott - Simple Machines

Listening to "Queen Of Hearts" right now and totally digging it.
Produced by Dave Edmunds, you know. Now, I just need to get "Love's Been a Little Bit Hard On Me" to really break my face with a smile.
