I've never heard of a 1908 Wagner card, but it could still be worth some money, no?
The famous one (like the one owned by Wayne Gretzky) was made between 1909-1911.
Then that was the one. Probably 1909, that makes sense.
I'm not really a baseball card guy; all I know is that it was worth a shitton of cash and that it's the Holy Grail of baseball cards.

Ours was
"You're the One For Me" by Jonathan Richman
lyrics:
If you didn't want me you shouldn't have been bornThat started all the trouble now the damage been done
You never should have been born
Cuz now you're the one for me
And if you didn't want me to follow you around
You never should have showed up around my town
You never should have come to town
Cuz now you're the one for me
And it's too late cuz now you're stuck with me
Better give up, it's me you choose
I say "ha ha ha ha, it's me, you lose."
It's to late cuz now my minds is set
You better give up because i won't forget
That could never never be
Well you're the one for me
Oh baby, oh honey
Well it's too late
You're the one for me
If you didn't want me you shouldn't have been born
And we never should have met that morn
We never should have met
Cuz now you're the one for me
And if you didn't want me to want you this way
Well you never should have seen my rock n roll band play
You never should have seen the lovers play
Cuz now you're the one for me.
And it's too late cuz now you're stuck with me
Better give up, it's me you choose
I say "ha ha ha ha, it's me, you lose."
It's to late cuz now my minds is set
You better give up because i won't forget
That could never never be
Well you're the one for me
Oh babe, oh honey
It's just too late
You're the one for me
You're the one for me
You're the one, you're the one
You're the one, it's too late
You're the one

See.
-
I've been really into that recently, too.

I am in possession of a 1908 Honus Wagner card that was rendered nearly worthless by its original owner (my grandfather, at age 7).
Not blasphmey, but certainly sacrelige.
-
Their debut album called The Bunkhouse Album or is refered to as their self-titled record. It was released in limited supply in '86 on a small, independent label. It never received its proper release. It's long out of print now.
Anywhere at all to get my hands on it for less than a fortune?

What is this?
Never seen it before.

I don't like Seinfeld.
Frustrates me to the point of having to turn the channel -- immediately!
And Curb Your Enthusiasm is even worse.
-
I hope that you do, though:
Just me with an electric guitar, playing live, with a 2-mic setup.
EDIT: Sorry for all the topics in recent succession; just got nothing to do right now and when shit occurrs to me, I tend to post.
-
EDIT: 15 total songs so far, and no repeats yet...
I was thinking the same thing. Says a lot.
-
Just the originals, we can do a whole nother thread for their covers.
1. Pablo and Andrea
2. Upside Down
3. The Hour Grows Late
4. Black Flowers
5. Bartleby, Hardly Working
(I'm waiting to see how many "Blue Line Swinger"s we get.)

I played Public Enemy for my 8-year-old last night...
"Don't Believe the Hype"
He understood much more than an 8-year-old should. About the anger and all that.

I just may be using this in producing my next record.
So cool.
Although I do want the actual physical deck, I do.

The single-most beautiful vocal in the history of pop/rock music is Art Garfunkel's lead turn on "Bridge Over Troubled Waters".

The Hudsucker Proxy is in my top 3 Coen films.
It IS my favorite Coen Bros. film. Paul Newman as an evil mofo is absoloutely wonderful -- you can tell that he relishes finally being able to play the bad guy.
-
The sounds not great on this, and he does stretch things out a bit too long, but there is some nice guitar fills at least. You gotta love Prince for his interesting choice of covers.
I got a recording of him doing an acoustic version of "Whole Lotta Love". Yeah, the Led Zep tune.
Dude rules.

Thin Lizzy is one of the 5 greatest bands in the history of rock and roll. Up there with the Beatles and the Stones.
